Overview

Adobe Connect 11.4 is a major release providing new compliance control settings and introducing new improved Audio and Video experience as limited beta to selected customers
Release dates
Adobe Connect 11.4 rolls out in the following phases:
Hosted services:
Upgrades will begin on Nov 7, 2021. See Adobe Connect Downloads and Updates to determine the upgrade date for your account.
On-premise deployments:
Will be available from Dec 7, 2021.
Managed services:
Contact your Adobe Connect Managed Services (ACMS) representative, or private cloud provider, to schedule an upgrade.
What's New in Adobe Connect 11.4
New Compliance and Control settings for greater security
Account Administrators can now remove the public access options for rooms and recordings to ensure greater security.
- New option to remove the access choice of "Anyone who has the URL may enter the room" for all meeting rooms, seminar rooms, and virtual classrooms in the account
- New option to remove the ‘public’ access choice for all recordings in the account
Limited Beta for improved Audio/Video Experience{BETA}
Adobe Connect 11.4 introduces and entirely new audio/video delivery experience as a beta feature. The new audio/video beta feature is available to customers upon request by the account administrator.
New capabilities:
- Ability to turn on the new Audio/Video Experience per room
- Support for one ultra-high-resolution (1080p) webcam in the Video pod
- Support for up to three high-resolution (720p) webcams in the Video pod
- A new 'Focus view' (single camera display) in the Video pod
- Support for 'Follow the Active Speaker' mode in Focus view and Filmstrip view in the Video pod
- Pagination in the Video Pod (beyond 20 webcams)
- Server-based MP4 meeting recordings
- Screen share support from browsers
- Attendee connection status in the Attendee pod
Some of the existing features like telephone-based audio integration and creation of interactive recordings are not yet available when the new audio/video experience is enabled in a room. For more information see Capabilities and Limitations.

Adobe Connect application
This update does not include a new version of the Adobe Connect application.
You will be prompted to install and run the new Adobe Connect application in the following situations:
- You attempt to login to a meeting using a previous version of the Adobe Connect meeting application.
- You attempt to share your screen from a browser.
- You select “Switch to desktop application” from the meeting context menu.
If you are an administrator, ensure that end users have the latest Adobe Connect application. Download the latest stand-alone or MSI installers for the Adobe Connect application from this page, or install directly from the following URLs:
Upgrade paths for on-premise deployments
Here are the prerequisites for this release:
- From Adobe Connect 8.x, upgrade to Adobe Connect 9.x
- From Adobe Connect 9.x, upgrade to Adobe Connect 11.4
- From Adobe Connect 10.x, upgrade to Adobe Connect 11.4
