Question Detail

How would comma be treated in events column while uploading data source file.

Answer

The Data Sources Engine by default truncates the comma "," in the events column.

For Example:
If a user intends to upload a revenue of $3.99 for an event but unintentionally uploads a value of "3,99", the system would accept the value without any errors. However the comma gets truncated, and the value reflects in the system would be "$399" instead of "$3.99".

Best Practice:
To avoid the problem, period character "." is recommended instead of the comma character as shown above.
