Issue

You are unable to view your synced collections on the Lightroom for mobile app or Lightroom CC on your desktop. 

  • Synced collections from Lightroom CC on your desktop are not visible in Lightroom for mobile, even though the Sync With Lightroom Mobile option is turned on. Sync Activity section in the Preferences dialog (Edit (Win)/Lightroom (Mac) > Preferences > Lightroom mobile tab > Sync Activity) doesn't show any sync errors or pending sync activity.
  • Collections from the Lighroom for mobile app are not visible in Lightroom CC on your desktop. Tapping the cloud icon  in the mobile app shows that all is up to date and synced successfully.

Solution

To resolve this issue, follow the steps listed below in order:

Backup the synced catalog in Lightroom CC on your desktop

  1. Create a new Collection. In the Create Collection dialog that appears, do the following:

    • Input any desired Name.
    • In the Options area, deselect Sync with Lightroom mobile

    For details, see Create a collection.

  2. In the Catalog panel (Library module), select All Synced Photographs. Select all the photos in the All Synced Photographs catalog from the grid and then drag them to the new collection (created in the previous step) in the Collections panel.   

  3. Make a note of all the collections that are currently set up for syncing with Lightroom mobile. In the Collections panel, synced collections are indicated by  icon before the collection name.    

    Also make a note of the number of photos in the All Synced Photographs catalog.

  4. Close and exit Lightroom.

Delete the catalog using Lightroom on the web

  1. Visit https://lightroom.adobe.com.

    Click Sign in at the upper-right corner of the window. Now, sign in using your Adobe ID.

    Note:

    Once you are signed in, verify that all the synced collections and photos from Lightroom CC on your desktop are available in Lightroom on the web.

  2. Click the Lr icon at the upper-left corner of the window and choose Account Info from the drop-down list.

  3. On the Lightroom Account screen that appears, click Delete Lightroom Catalog.

    Caution:

    On the Delete Catalog screen, make sure that the photo count displayed here is the same as that shown in the All Synced Photographs catalog in Lightroom CC on your desktop. 

  4. On the Delete Catalog screen, confirm by typing your consent to delete the synced catalog.

Resync in Lightroom CC on your desktop

  1. Launch Lightroom CC.

  2. Mark all the collections—noted in Step 3 of Backup the synced catalog in Lightroom CC on your desktop—for syncing with Lightroom mobile again.

  3. In the Collections panel, select the new collection that you created earlier in Step 1 of Backup the synced catalog in Lightroom CC on your desktop.

  4. From the grid, select all the photos in the new collection and drag them to the All Synced Photographs catalog in the Catalog panel.

    Allow Lightroom CC to complete syncing with Lightroom for mobile. 

Once the syncing is complete, check if your issue is resolved.
