Learn simple and easy ways to make your educational videos stand out with engaging and instructional animations from Adobe Stock.
Search Adobe Stock
Search for Motion Graphics templates right inside Adobe Premiere Pro.
In the menu bar, click Window > Workspaces > Graphics
Then, locate your Essential Graphics panel and select the Browse tab. Click on Adobe Stock, and in the search bar below, use keywords to find your template. In our example, we searched for “arrow”.
When you find the Motion Graphics template you like, you can license it directly inside Adobe Premiere Pro as well. Simply click the shopping cart icon below your selected template and follow the prompts on the pop-up window.
License the selection, which will automatically add it to your library and make it available to use inside Adobe Premiere Pro.
Note: You can also search and license any Adobe Stock assets on www.stock.adobe.com
Place the templates on your sequence
In your Essential Graphics panel, click the Browse tab select My Templates. Scroll to (or search for) your newly licensed Motion Graphics template.
Drag and drop the template onto your timeline.
Customize the templates
Use the Essential Graphics panel’s Edit tab to customize the look and feel of your new Motion Graphics template.
In our example, we’re creating a tutorial video for an educator to use as part of her Zoom lesson plan for woodworking. She needs to point out safety techniques to her students with callout arrows.
We’ve made the following adjustments:
Arrow Style: 2
Global Position: X 1113.0 Y 643.0
Global Size: X 60 Y 60
Arrow Angle: 90.0
Main Text: DRILL STRAIGHT DOWN
Arrow Controls
Color 1: we selected a banana yellow
Color 2: dark grey
Arrow Length: 459
Thickness Level: 2
Add additional graphics
Different segments of your video call for different motion graphics. In this case, we want to highlight how the woodworker is safely using a chop saw.
We can use a different version of the arrow Motion Graphics template to do this.
We’ll copy the template on the timeline and modify the Arrow Style, color, and font.
In this case we’re making the following adjustments:
Arrow Style: 4
Global Position: X 1061.0 Y 725.0
Global Size: X 90 Y 90
Arrow Angle: 0.0
Main Text: HANDS AWAY FROM BLADE
Arrow Controls
We left the colors the same as the first use of the graphic for consistency.
Arrow Length: 500
Thickness Level: 2
Find the perfect music track
In Adobe Premiere Pro, select the Audio Workspace preset, or choose Workspace > Essential Sound to reveal the all new Essential Sound panel with Adobe Stock audio built right in. Make sure you click Browse at the top of the panel so you can explore the extensive library.
You’ll notice that the Browse tab in the Essential Sound panel has a search bar, as well as three options to help limit your results: Mood, Genre, and Filters.
Search for Adobe Stock audio
Use the search bar to search for keywords. You can also limit your results by Mood, Genre, Tempo, Vocals, etc.
In our example, we searched for the term “Workshop” and found a fun track called Toy Workshop that’s perfect for this video.
Add a Track to Your Timeline
Once you find a track that you want to cut into your timeline, simply drag and drop it from the Essential Sound panel, directly into your timeline.
Note that this temp version of the Adobe Stock audio track is an m4a with no audio watermarks to interrupt the experience of your edit. You can export these versions, watermark free, to share privately with clients and collaborators.
When you license a track for inclusion in your final edit, Adobe Premiere Pro will seamlessly replace the m4a version with a high quality wav file.
Play the video
Tap the spacebar to play your video through. Check for pacing and for any necessary copy edits.
Export
Export your video with an Adobe Premiere Pro preset for social media or desktop presentations.
We’re using a 1080p HD Vimeo preset that outputs a video we can use anywhere on the web.
You’ve added engaging and helpful animations to your educational video with Adobe Stock Motion Graphics templates!
