JMX console with encrypted password

You cannot use the JMX console with an encrypted password. Only cleartext password is allowed; this restriction is due to the com.sun.jdmk.comm.AuthInfo class.   However, you can always restrict the access to this resource with ACL so that only administrators have access to it.
