Issue

In the Lr Photos tab of Photoshop’s Start workspace, when you select a Lightroom photo and click Import Selected, the photo is not imported and a cross icon appears before its filename.

Import fails — Unable to import LR photos

Solution

Quit Photoshop.
Click one of the download links below and save the file on your machine.
- Windows
- Mac
Double-click the downloaded file to extract its contents.
To start the installation, do one of the following:

Windows: Double-click Set-up.exe from the extracted folder.

Mac: Double-click Install.app from the extracted folder.
The installation starts. You can see the progress of your installation.

Once the installation is complete, launch Photoshop and import photos in the LR Photos tab. The photos are imported successfully, indicated by before the filename.
