To reinstall an Adobe product in Safe mode, do the following:

Insert the product disc into the disc drive.

Copy the product folder on the disc to the desktop.

Choose Start > Control Panel.

In the Programs section, click Uninstall a Program.

Select the Adobe product, and click Uninstall. Follow the onscreen instructions to remove the product.

Restart Windows.

Press F8 before Windows starts, when you see a message such as "For Advanced Startup Options..."

Select Safe Mode from the list of startup options.

Look for "Safe Mode" in each corner of the desktop.
- If "Safe Mode" doesn't appear in each corner of the desktop, then repeat steps 7-9.
- If "Safe Mode" does appear in each corner of the desktop, then log in as administrator of the local machine.

If a dialog box indicates that Windows is running in Safe Mode, then click OK.

Double-click the product folder you copied in step 3 to open it, start the installer, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

Restart Windows in normal mode.
