Creative Cloud Team Ready Migration

Letter to customers

The licensing contact person for the Creative Cloud Team Ready order will receive the following letter informing them of the release of Creative Cloud Team.

Subject Line: Creative Cloud for teams — now available

Dear Adobe® Creative Cloud™ Team Ready customer,

We’re excited to inform you that Creative Cloud for teams‡ is now available. Creative Cloud for teams includes all of the great features in Creative Cloud, plus new and exciting features such as administrative tools, 100 GB of cloud-based storage per user, and expert support services.

As a Creative Cloud Team Ready member, you are eligible to migrate to Creative Cloud for

teams. Your reseller will contact you directly in January to enroll you in the new licensing program, Value Incentive Plan (VIP), and provide migration instructions. Give your reseller the following unique migration code <your code will appear here>.

And as a way to thank you for your customer loyalty, Adobe is giving your organization the equivalent of five complimentary months* months’ membership* to Creative Cloud.

Adobe will no longer deliver any updates to Creative Cloud Team Ready. Migrating to Creative Cloud for teams ensures that you continue to receive all the great value in Creative Cloud, including product updates; online services for file sharing, collaboration, and publishing; and more. If you choose not to migrate to Creative Cloud for teams, your Creative Cloud Team Ready licenses expire one year from your original activation date.

If your organization would prefer to migrate to Creative Cloud for teams sooner, contact Adobe support at <your regional support email address will appear here> with your unique migration code.

Again, we thank you for using Creative Cloud Team Ready, and we look forward to getting you up

and running on Creative Cloud for teams.

Enjoy,

The Creative Cloud Team

Invitation to VIP Program

Adobe's Reseller Support Team will coordinate with your chosen reseller to enroll you in Adobe's VIP program. This program is a new license program for subscription products, such as Creative Cloud for Teams. After you accept this enrollment, the Support Team informs you when migration is ready to commence.

Deployment

After migration is completed, the contact person is informed and can start assigning seats to users.

Existing CS6 users do not need to redownload or reinstall their existing applications. Instead, they open one of their current CS6 applications and select Deactivate from the Help menu. Relaunch the application and click License This Software. Then, enter the Adobe ID corresponding to the seat that was added by the contact person. There are no serial numbers for Creative Cloud for Team - all software licensing is done via Adobe ID.

Free additional five months for CCTR customers migrating to CCT

Creative Cloud Team Ready customers are being given five free additional months added onto their Creative Cloud for Teams account. The customer never receives less than 5 months. Often, they will receive more than five months.

Scenario 1: Their remaining CCTR duration including the five months is less than 13 month from migration date

Example: Customer bought 2 seats May 10 2012. They have October 9 2012 for their CCTR. They call to migrate, and agree to VIP T&Cs on January 10 2013. Their anniversary date is now February 10 2014. This period is four months longer than when their CCTR duration expires. But, because Adobe can't adjust anniversary dates, they get months free for two seats. We have to financially account for these free seats.

Scenario 2: Their remaining CCTR duration including the five months is 13 month from migration

This scenario is what we hope for. No additional months given, no exposure to Adobe. We get a few of these, but we don’t count on it.

Example: Customer bought 1 seat on September 15 2012. CCTR expires February 14 2014. They migrate January 15 2013. Anniversary date is February 15 2014, so we are all set.

Scenario 3: Their remaining CCTR duration including the five months is greater than 13 month from migration date

Example: Customer bought five seats October 2 2012. CCTR expires March 1 2013. They migrate on January 2 2013. Anniversary date is February 2 2014. We owe them an additional month for each of those five seats, so 5 “seat months. We convert this to the closest 12, so we give them one seat renewal for free. And, we absorb seven months that we give away in this scenario.

Notes:

Adobe has cotermed as many of the orders as could be identified as being for the same organization. Anyone that Adobe cotermed has some minor adjustments for the months we’ve given them to coterm.

CCTR Expired Serial Number and Seats

This section will cover the scenarios for a CCTR (Creative Cloud Team Ready) customer that is saying their SN is expired and/ or their seats are canceled on their CCT account they received as part of the CCTR migration to CCT.

Note: CCTR SN's are term licenses and are expected to expire.  To view the expire date for the CCTR SN,  pull up the order in LWS and look for the column called: End Date

AVL T1 /  T2 Process

Scenario#1:

SN is expired/  Not past VIP anniversary date/  CCT seats are not expired. (less common scenario)

CCTR customer serial# is expired and they have not yet accepted the VIP invite they were sent for the CCTR migration to CCT; they need the CCT VIP invite resent.

CCT seats are not expired or VIP past anniversary date.

Resolution:

  • Go to the TP warroom  here tpwar3 ,  go to the chat pod called "CC AVL Special Offer".  Post the customer's CCTR order# and customer contact email to have the CCT VIP invite resent to the customer so they can accept and start using CCT.  Enterprise CS T3 will resend the invite and will confirm via the chat pod once resent.
  • If the customer's CCT seats are not expired and the anniversary date is not yet past due the customer will be able to use the seats.

Enterprise CS T3 Process

Scenario#1 Resolution:

  • To resend a CCT VIP invite for a CCTR customer, look up the customer's CCTR order detail in LWS.
  • Log into the "old" reseller console here and search for the customer's VIP account. Once you find the account, resend the VIP invite.
  • Post your response to the AVL CS T1 / T2 agent in the TP Warroom that you have sent the invite and provide the VIP ID#.

AVL T1 /T2 Process

Scenario#2:

SN is expired/Past VIP anniversary date/CCT seats are expired (most common scenario).

CCTR customer serial# is expired, they have not yet accepted the VIP invite they were sent for the CCTR migration to CCT (need VIP CCT invite resent) and CCT seats show as expired.

CCT seats are expired or past VIP anniversary date

Resolution:

  • Go to the TP warroom here tpwar3 , go to the chat pod called "CC AVL Special Offer". Post the customer's CCTR order# and customer contact email to have the CCT VIP invite resent to the customer so they can accept the CCT VIP invite.
  • Once the customer has accepted the VIP CCT invite they will need to contact their reseller to purchase seats (the seats we provided them are now expired and they can not renew these seats;  customer needs to contact their reseller and purchase new seats to start using CCT). Enterprise CS T3 will resend the invite and will confirm via the chat pod once resent. The other option is for the customer to contact their reseller of choice and have that reseller send them a new VIP invite to purchase new seats instead of using the CCT VIP account we set up for them for the CCTR migration process.

Enterprise CS T3 Process

Scenario#2 Resolution:

  • To resend a CCT VIP invite for a CCTR customer, look up the customer's CCTR order detail in LWS.
  • Log into the "old" reseller console here and search for the customer's VIP account. Once you find the account, resend the VIP invite.
  • Post your response to the AVL CS T1 / T2 agent in the TP Warroom that you have sent the invite and provide the VIP ID#.
