360° and VR Video Editing

Step into immersive storytelling with the new 360° and VR video editing tools in Premiere Elements 2026. Import and position your VR footage, apply effects, transitions, text, and graphics that wrap around the scene, and fine-tune the viewing angle to guide your audience’s gaze. When you’re done, export in VR for headsets or in standard formats for social media, so your story shines wherever it’s shared.

Text Styles and Style Browser

Enhance your text’s visual appeal and efficiency by applying Text Style Templates and using the Style Browser. Choose from default styles or reuse saved styles to quickly format text, reducing the time and effort spent on manual formatting.

Follow these steps to create new styles:

  1. Select a text layer and give it the stylistic Text or Appearance properties you want.

  2. Select the More Style icon in the Style section of the Tiles and Shapes panel to open the style browser. For additional style information, choose between the default icon view and a more compact list view. 

    Note

    Premiere Elements provides more than 30 pre-built text styles to help you get started.

Freehand Crop 

Frame scenes better with freehand crop. Just drag crop handles to resize your videos.

Apple silicon Native Support

You can access the Freehand Crop tool from the Toggle On-Monitor Tools drop-down on the Program Monitor or by adjusting the cropping parameters under Motion in the Effect Controls Panel.

To use Freehand Crop:

  1. Click the Toggle On-Monitor Tools drop-down on the Program Monitor.

  2. Select Crop from the list (other option available is Transform).

  3. Use the crop handles to trim unwanted parts of your video or adjust its aspect ratio.

To use this feature, follow the given steps:

You can bring stock videos, photos, audio, and sound effects into your project by browsing the Stock Media panel or using search, categories, and filters to refine your results.

To access Stock Media:

  1. From any workspace (Quick, Guided, or Advanced), click the Stock Media icon located below the Audio icon on the left panel.

  2. Select the desired category - Videos, Photos, Audio, or SFX, to choose the content you want to use.

  3. Click the download icon, then drag and drop the asset directly onto your timeline to use it. Or drag and drop the asset directly onto your timeline to automatically download it.

Color Fonts & Emojis

You can add vibrant, multi-colored text by selecting a color font from the Titles and Shapes panel or insert emojis from the Edit menu for extra flair.

To use this feature, follow the given steps:

Select a project and add it to your timeline, then select the Text Tool from the Quick Tools menu.

Now click anywhere in the Program Monitor to add point text, or simply select the Text Tool to click & drag, creating a text box for paragraph-style text.

  1. To add color fonts:

    • In the Titles and Shapes panel, choose a color font from the Fonts dropdown.
    • (Optional) Use the font styles picker to browse and switch between available styles for your chosen color font
  2. To add emojis:

    • Go to the Edit menu and select Emoji & Symbols. 
    • Once the emojis appear, simply click to add them to your text layer

Delete All Gaps

Delete all Timeline gaps at once.

To use this feature, follow the given steps:

You can identify and remove gaps in the Timeline by hovering over the gap using:

  1. Delete All Gaps - removes all gaps in the clip.

  2. Delete This Gap - removes the selected gap from the clip..

Tip

When you click Export with gaps still present in the Timeline, a warning dialog box alerts you that gaps remain in the timeline. Review the warning dialog and choose whether to remove the gaps before proceeding.
