Adobe Connect 9.7.5 Release Notes

The Adobe Connect 9.7.5 release implements various improvement requests, continues replacing Flash in Connect Central Web application pages with HTML5, and resolves several bugs.

Release dates

Adobe Connect 9.7.5 rolls out in the following phases:  

Hosted services:

Starting March 5, 2018; check the migration schedule for your account here.

On-premise deployments:

Starting March 19, 2018.

What's new in Adobe Connect 9.7.5

Adobe Connect application for desktop improvements

  • Support for optional Start Menu and Desktop shortcuts (Windows only)
  • Ability to select audio output speaker in a meeting (Windows only)
  • Option to remember a user session in the Adobe Connect application for a computer (Windows and Mac)
  • Open a new application session using the Ctrl+N shortcut keys (Windows only) and other improvements

Adobe Connect Central web application improvements

  • The Audio Profiles setup page in Adobe Connect Central has been redesigned in HTML5
  • Various improvements in the Adobe Connect Central home page

Miscellaneous improvements

  • AEM upgraded to version 6.2 SP1
  • MeetingOne adapter upgraded and other improvements

Changes to supported content in Adobe Connect 9.7.5

Support for the new Adobe Presenter 7 content is discontinued. While trying to upload Adobe Presenter 7 or an earlier version content to Adobe Connect, an error message is displayed. The existing Adobe Presenter 7 or an earlier version content in Adobe Connect continues to work in Adobe Connect 9.7.5.

Adobe Connect application

This update includes a new version of the Adobe Connect application to join meetings. This is a non-mandatory version and older versions of the Adobe Connect application will continue to work with the Adobe Connect 9.7.5 release. However, Adobe recommends customers to update to this new version for utilizing various improvements released in 9.7.5.

You are prompted to install the new Adobe Connect application in the following scenarios:

  • You share your screen or PowerPoint (PPTX format) files and do not have the Adobe Connect application installed.

If you are an administrator of a locked-down IT environment, Adobe recommends that you ensure that all of your end-users have the new version of the Adobe Connect application and Adobe Flash Player (version 13.0 or later) installed. Upgrade paths for on-premise deployments

The following are the prerequisites before you can upgrade to this release:

  • From Adobe Connect 8.x, upgrade to Adobe Connect 9, then update to Adobe Connect 9.7.0b before applying this patch.
  • From Adobe Connect 9.x, update to Adobe Connect 9.7.0b before applying this patch.

The following product usage issues are fixed.

Fixed an issue where Adobe Connect server does not accept the license files generated and gives an error that license key does not match in the database. If the license file is generated with an account-id that is over the BIGINT value, it fails to upload on the server.


Fixed an issue to prevent deletion of an associated Event when a seminar room is deleted. Now the Event continues to remain in the list of Events.


Fixed an issue where soft limit for concurrent users per meeting was at times incorrectly displayed for accounts that have meeting and seminar licenses.


AEM is used to create Event pages. AEM that installs with Adobe Connect is upgraded to version 6.2 service pack1. It offers many performance and security enhancements over the previous version.


Fixed an issue where some long-time users on an account were unable to change the password from My Profile page.


Fixed an issue where the pointer tool pointed to a slightly different location on the screen for Hosts than it did for the participants.


Fixed an issue to remove a Seminar session from the Seminar calendar, when the Event that links to the session is canceled.


Fixed an issue where users could not download the system usage report.


Fixed an issue where hyperlinks on Event pages did not redirect if the Campaign ID contained a space.


Fixed an issue where Poll summary reports displayed incorrect grouping by questions.


Fixed an issue where Event Managers can get Host or meeting owner access to Shared meeting rooms and recordings using a certain workflow.


Fixed an issue where custom pods with HTML5 components stopped loading in the application for desktop via the Share pod in meetings or the Content library.


Fixed an issue where downloading User Information Report for an Event was giving error for an account.


Fixed an issue where content published by Presenter 11.1 in SWF format cannot be shared in a meeting. It gives a error that the document cannot be retrieved.

If you click Forgot password in the application for desktop to reset your password, the password reset email is not received in Dutch, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish languages.

Request to reset the password from the Adobe Connect Central login page using a web browser.


In the application for desktop, if a user account is blocked for repeated incorrect login attempts, the notification email of blocked account is not received in Chinese, German, Italian, Korean, Portugese, Russian, and Turkish languages.

Login to Adobe Connect Connect Central from a web browser or request to change a forgotten password from within a web browser.


Adobe Connect application for desktop does not launch when a meeting is launched from Flash-enabled Firefox 32-bit browser.

Use any one of the following workarounds:

  • Disable Flash in Firefox browser.
  • Use a different browser.
  • Launch meeting directly in the application for desktop.
