Credit card fields in agreements
Do not create documents/forms to capture and store credit card information.
Where Adobe Acrobat Sign maintains PCI DSS compliance, it is against the Acrobat Sign product specific licensing terms (section 7.3) to store credit card data on agreements sent through the system:
Customer is solely responsible for compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (“PCI DSS”), if applicable. Customer is prohibited from using Acrobat Sign to store Cardholder Data and Sensitive Authentication Data, including Card Verification Code or Value after authorization, even if encrypted.
Braintree is a PCI DSS compliant payment collection service integrated into Acrobat Sign. Customers who want to collect payments should use the Braintree integration exclusively without attempting to collect the credit information directly on the agreement form.
