Lightroom Classic installs in the language of the operating system

Issue

When you install Lightroom Classic on your system, it gets installed in the language of your operating system, even if you have specified other language while installing it.

Solution

This behavior is as designed. Lightroom Classic installs in all the supported languages and uses the language of the operating system by default. To change the language of Lightroom Classic, do the following:

  1. Open Lightroom Classic.

  2. Select Lightroom > Preferences (macOS) or Edit > Preferences (Windows).

  3. In the General tab, select your preferred language from the Language drop-down.

    Select language
    Select language

  4. Quit Lightroom Classic and restart the application to view the changes.

  5. Lightroom Classic launches in your selected language.
