Overview
BankID Norway is a digital identity (digital ID) available to holders of bank accounts in Norway. Signers can use their BankID Norway credentials to authenticate their identity and apply either an e-signature via the Digital Identity Gateway or a digital signature (cloud signature) in Adobe Acrobat Sign.
When used for the application of a remote digital signature (cloud signature with digital certificate)
The following electronic signature type is achieved when signing with the BankID Norway service:
- Advanced electronic signature (AES) compliant with the EU’s eIDAS Regulation

When using BankID Norway to apply a cloud signature in Acrobat Sign, a digital certificate is issued by Intesi Group based on the signer’s identity authenticated by the BankID Norway service.
