You can use your social (Facebook or Google) account to sign in to your Adobe ID account and Adobe apps. This type of sign-in is called Social Sign-in. You can use Social Sign-in whether or not you already have an Adobe ID account.
Don't have an Adobe ID account? | You can use your Facebook or Google account to create and then sign in to your Adobe ID account. See Use your social account to create your Adobe ID account. |
Already have an Adobe ID account? | You can link your Facebook or Google account to your existing Adobe ID account. You can then sign in to your Adobe ID account using your linked Facebook or Google account. See Connect your social (Facebook or Google) account to your existing Adobe ID. |
Social Sign-in is available only for individual accounts. You cannot link a social account to an existing enterprise account, or use Social Sign-in to create an enterprise account.
You can use your social (Facebook or Google) account to create your Adobe ID account. When you sign in for the first time with your social account, your Adobe ID account is created. After that, you can simply sign in with your social account and manage your purchases, membership, updates, and trials of Adobe apps and services - and more. For information on managing your Adobe ID account, see Manage your Adobe ID account.
Note:
The email address associated with your Adobe ID will be the same as the email address of your social account.

Navigate to the Sign-in screen in any one of the following ways. Choose whichever is easiest for you.
- In your browser, open the
accounts page. - Click the dimmed Creative Cloud icon, located in the taskbar (Windows) or Apple menu bar (Mac OS), to open the Creative Cloud desktop app.
If the Creative Cloud desktop app opens, you are already signed in. In this case, first sign out of Creative Cloud desktop app as explained in Sign out from Creative Cloud desktop app. Then click the dimmed Creative Cloud icon.
- Launch any Creative Cloud application installed on your computer. You are prompted to sign in. If you aren’t prompted to sign in, choose Help > Sign In (your Adobe ID).
If the Help > Sign In (your Adobe ID) option is dimmed or says Sign Out (your Adobe ID), you are already signed in. In this case, choose Sign Out, then choose Help > Sign in)

You are prompted to provide some additional information before your Adobe ID is set up. If you logged in to your social account with a phone number, you are prompted to provide an email address, which then becomes the email address associated with your Adobe ID.
Note:
- When you sign out of the Creative Cloud desktop app, any Creative Cloud app, or any Adobe web page, you remain signed into Facebook or Google. If you are using a shared computer, ensure that you sign out of Facebook or Google when signing out of Adobe apps or any Adobe web page.
- If you create a new Facebook account or change the password of your Facebook account, you will not be redirected back to the Adobe app or the Adobe web page from where you started the Social Sign-in. In this case, switch back to the app and click Start Over, or navigate back to the web page.
- If you sign in with a Facebook or Google account through the Creative Cloud desktop app or any Creative Cloud app, any user previously signed in to the system browser (such as Google Chrome or Apple Safari) is signed out. For example, if you are signed in with Adobe ID "A" in the system browser, and then sign in with Adobe ID "B" through the Creative Cloud desktop app, you will no longer be signed in as user "A" in the system browser. This only applies to Social Sign-in. If you sign in with your Adobe ID and password in an Adobe app, this will not affect the signed in user in the browser.
Your Adobe ID account is set up.
If you signed in from the accounts page, your Adobe ID account page is displayed. Otherwise, you are redirected to the web page (for example, www.adobe.com) or to the Adobe app from where you signed in.
If you have an existing Adobe ID account, you can connect your social (Facebook or Google) account to it. You can then manage your Adobe ID account by signing in with your social account. You can also continue to sign in using your Adobe ID and password, in addition to your social account.
There are two ways in which you can connect your social account to your Adobe ID account:
- You can connect the accounts through your Adobe ID Account page.
- If your social account has the same email address as your Adobe ID, you are prompted to connect the accounts when you sign in with your social account.
-
Sign in to your Adobe ID account.
-
Your social (Facebook or Google) account is connected to your Adobe ID account. You can now sign in with your Facebook or Google account and manage your purchases, membership, updates, and trials of Adobe apps and services - and more. For information on managing your Adobe ID account, see Manage your Adobe ID account.
Note:
At a time, you can connect one Facebook account and one Google account to your Adobe ID account.
When you sign in with your social account, if the email address associated with your social account is the same as the email address associated with your Adobe ID account, you are prompted to connect the accounts. For example, if the email address associated with your Facebook account as well as your Adobe ID account is johndoe@example.com, you are prompted to connect your Facebook account to your Adobe ID account.
You can now sign in with Facebook or Google to manage your account. You can also continue to sign in with your Adobe ID email address as before.
-
Sign in to your Adobe ID account.
-
If you had never set a password for your account, you are prompted to create a password when you attempt to remove the last connected social account.
For example, consider that you have a Facebook and a Google account connected to your Adobe ID account, and you have not set a password for your account. If you disconnect one of the social accounts, for example the Facebook account, you are not prompted to create a password. However, if you now disconnect the remaining social account (in this case the Google account), you are prompted to create a password.
