In some cases, Adobe may reach out to customers directly to help resolve the issue.
We find that many customers are unaware they have installed or purchased Adobe apps and services that are not genuine and may need additional information to address the situation. Therefore, we recommend that you continue to run AGS on your machine.
Only genuine Adobe apps and services provide the latest features and functionality, including ongoing access to support and the latest security updates. Therefore, in an effort to block fraudulent activity and help safeguard your machine, Adobe may disable the identified non-genuine Adobe app.
The AGS includes an automatic uninstall feature. When you uninstall all Adobe apps from your machine, whether they are genuine or not, the AGS will automatically uninstall itself.
Users who install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for the first time have the option to also install AGS. If you would like to install the AGS on your machine, select the check box shown below when downloading Reader.

The Software and Adobe Genuine Service may collect and transmit information to Adobe as described at https://www.adobe.com/genuine.html (or subsequent URL). A determination by Adobe that any Adobe software is not genuine may result in partial or complete inoperability, suspension, or termination of your use of the non-genuine Adobe software.
