When rendering videos in Photoshop on macOS, the progress bar stops at 50% and doesn't progress any further.
Caution:
Check to see if you have Avast anti-virus software running on your machine. It has been known to prevent video rendering in Photoshop. If you are not running Avast and still facing the video rendering issue in Photoshop, follow the workaround instructions below.
-
If this folder is present, open every subfolder in that location and check for a file called Trace Database.txt. If this file is present and it is empty, delete it.
Note:
Even if you find Trace Database.txt in one subfolder, continue to check all the subfolders for it. Ensure that you delete all instances of Trace Database.txt that are found to be empty.
Note:
If the video rendering issue occurs again, repeat the workaround steps.
