Improved Functionality

  • A new Send page experience - Composing a new agreement on the Send page has changed to a more procedural process, starting with the documents to be signed and adding the recipients at the end.

Read more about the new Request Signature experience >

The new Send page configured and ready to send

The new Send experience can be enabled by navigating to Account Settings > Global Settings > New request signature experience

The Global Settings page highlighting the new request signature controls

Note:

The new Send experience is not currently at parity with the classic Send page. It is strongly recommended that if you enable the option for users, you also enable the option to switch between the experiences.

  • A new in-app Authoring experience - The new Authoring environment now allows the user to select a field type and then click on the document to place as many fields as needed. Double-clicking a field displays the field properties in the left information panel where individual properties can be configured.

Note that the new Authoring environment is only accessible when using the new Send page experience.

  • Post Agreement Completion URL Redirect for Declined agreements - The post-completion redirect controls have been improved to allow discrete options for when the agreement is completed successfully or declined.

Review the new features for post-sign redirects >

Post Agreement Completion URL Redirect controls on the Account Setup page

Note:

A new agreementStatus parameter will be automatically appended to the URL when the agreement reaches a terminal status of Complete or Canceled.

  • Completed agreements append: ?agreementStatus = completed.
  • Canceled (Declined) agreements append: ?agreementStatus = declined

The new parameter is applied to all agreements, including manually sent agreements, web forms, Send in Bulk agreements, etc.

  • Send in Bulk has been updated and improved to allow more recipients per agreement, more transactions in total, and more - Send in Bulk has been updated with a new interface that allows for the inclusion of many customer-requested features that are available in the standard "send for signature" process. New features include:
    • Multiple recipients with individually configurable roles, authentication types, and private messages.
    • Individual agreement configurations such as agreement name, locale, expiration, and signing order.

Read more about the new Send in Bulk process >

New Send in Bulk interface

  • Create a new template from an In Progress or Completed agreement - Use an existing agreement on your Manage page to create a reusable template in your library. Only In Progress and Completed agreements can be saved.

Review the process to create a template from an agreement >

The Manage page highlighting the Save this agreement as a template action.

  • Usage tracking has been added to the Power Automate integration - Administrators will be able to view their tenant's usage of Power Automate for the previous month and download the usage of their org for the last 12 months in the form of a CSV containing:
    • Monthly Active Flows - The number of flows available to be used in the Acrobat Sign system for a calendar month.
    • Monthly Flow Runs - The number of times a flow was triggered in a calendar month.
    • Monthly API calls - The total number of API calls used to execute the flow runs in a calendar month.
    • Dataverse storage - The total amount of Dataverse storage consumed as of the end of a calendar month.

  • Manual override to access classic reporting environment - The November 2023 release has promoted all accounts to use the modern reporting environment.  Accounts that must access the classic environment can enable that option for users by explicitly enabling the switch link.

Review the documentation to enable the classic reporting switch link >

The Reports tab highlighting the Classic Reporting enablement control

Note:

Be advised that the classic reporting environment is scheduled to be removed from service entirely in the March 2024 release.  All customers are strongly advised to recreate their classic reports in the modern environment as soon as possible to avoid the loss of those reports.

All reports that exist in the classic environment continue to exist and can be accessed until the interface is removed in March 2024.

Scheduled reports from the classic environment will contain a message:

"This email is generated via classic reporting which will no longer be supported as of first quarter 2024. This report needs to be recreated within the new reporting experience. Schedules via classic reporting will stop if no action is taken."

  • Transaction usage report is exposed at the top of the Transaction consumption reports page. - Customers who are on a transaction-based VIP license have their transaction consumption summary exposed at the top of the Transaction consumption reports page.

Review the documentation for Transaction consumption reports >

  • Reusable recipient groups have been improved - Reusable recipient groups can now be added to the classic Send page using the existing link. When entering the group name, a list of the available recipient groups is populated in a submenu under the group name field.
Additionally, a search function has been added to find groups either by the Group name or by entering the email address of an Individual member of the group.

Review the Reusable Recipient Groups documentation >

Review the classic Send process >

  • Block recipients in designated geographies - Administrators can explicitly block recipients in designated locales from accessing agreements using the recipient's IP Address. Recipients attempting to access an agreement or web form receive a message that Acrobat Sign is not available in their location. Currently, China is the only selectable option.

Review the documentation regarding the Block by geolocation feature >

Security Settings page with the controls to block specific geo highlighted

  • New authentication method: One-Time Passcode via Email (OTPvE) - A one-time passcode authentication using email has been added as a single-factor authentication method. This authentication provides a low-friction method to qualify a recipient using their email address when the agreement is being accessed. OTPvE is available when sending an individual agreement, When using Send in Bulk, and when creating web forms.

Review the One-Time Password documentation >

Select the OTPvEm method

  • Content protection for agreements - Protect viewing agreements, even after completing them, using the original recipient authentication method assigned to the recipients or a one-time passcode delivered to the participant's email address if no authentication was assigned.

Learn more about Content Protection >

The Send Settings page highlighting the Content Protection controls.

  • Improved flexibility for signature authentication requirements - The settings for enforced identity authentication (Account Settings > Bio-Pharma Settings) have been separated, allowing for a more granular selection of when recipient re-authentication must occur.

Review the Enforce Identity Authentication documentation >

Navigate to teh Enforced Identity Authentication controls on the Bio-Pharma tab

Accounts created prior to the November 2023 release must opt in to the new Enforce Identity Authentication configuration by explicitly enabling the update on the Bio-Pharma Settings page:

    • Agreement unshared - Triggers when a user explicitly unshares an agreement with another user.
    • Agreement unshared auto - Triggers as a result of the "upstream" agreement share being revoked.  All users that a "shared to" party further shares an agreement with are automatically revoked if their share access to the agreement is lost.

Review the Webhooks documentation >

  • Improved scaling of drawn signatures - The option to provide a drawn signature has been improved to better scale the drawn signature to fit the signature field, making the signature more legible.

Resolved Issues

Issue
Description
4337861
Summary: When an agreement has a digital signature and is password protected, the raster service can't make a small enough thumbnail image for mobile devices, resulting in users on mobile devices seeing a Thumbnail Not Yet Available error.
Fix: Updated the process to use the proper image size before encryption which impacts the image scale.
4373355
Summary: Some checkboxes from externally sourced forms can be rendered as unchecked after signing.
Fix: An additional check has been added to ensure that when isCheckBoxTrue is evaluated, the checked appearance state matches one of the acceptable unchecked values.
4395764
Summary: Webhook notifications don't contain an order parameter when the agreement is sent using a custom workflow, causing an issue in parsing the recipients.
Fix: New order generation logic has been added based on the graph structure stored in the bound Workflow.
4417517
Summary: Send workflows that contain a recipient group, and a CC'd party may send the signing notification email to the CC'd email address.
Fix: The email template has been corrected to not include CC'd parties in the signer notification event.
4418217
Summary: The Manage users in Gov Cloud Console link is pointing to a help page instead of the Gov Cloud console.
Fix: The link has been updated to properly point to the Gov Cloud console.

Summary: Sorting via date does not work for workflows due to the date being viewed as a string.
Fix: Corrected the value of the date to be properly referenced as a date and sort properly.
4435150
Summary: When the sender is also a signer, and that signer is replaced, if the agreement expires, the sender may not adopt the expired status and leave the agreement in an Out for Signature state.
Fix: The code has been improved to explicitly check the agreement status for expiration when a recipient is replaced.
4439375
Summary: When a PDF pages' XObjects have invalid PieceInfo.LastModified entries, the rendered PDF can appear blank.
Fix: The library that is used to combine PDFs has been updated, resolving this issue.

Fix: The PDF library has been updated to better handle null DecodeParms.
4440373
Summary: The contrast ratio is insufficient for the coach mark colors against the gray sidebar background color on the eSign page.
Fix: All-new colors have been introduced to meet the 3:1 contrast ratio requirement, including text color, background color, opacity, and sidebar background shade of gray.
4440504
Summary: "Error executing request" is seen when copying a template from the Sandbox to Production. The template is copied without form fields. This is due to a negative number being picked up for the page location from the SandboxOrchestrator.
Fix: The SandboxOrchestrator has been updated to correct this issue.
4443410
Summary: The Settings Activity Audit report only lists one setting.
Fix: The query has been fixed to properly return 15 results.

Fix: Sorting code has been improved to properly sort localized content based on localized date formats.

Fix: Implemented a new method to manually convert v6/FormFieldGenerator to data_objects.
4446030
Summary: Sorting of the 'Last Modification' column is not working correctly for Groups as only the first number in the date is considered instead of sorting based on the entire date.
Fix:  Implemented the 'sortValue' function in groupgrid.js to sort the 'Last Modification' column based on the timestamps.
4447218
Summary: Agreements are not following the Data Governance Policy in the Sandbox Environment.
Fix: An API App was created to enable Data Governance on Sandbox.

4447971
Summary: The date field is getting changed to the default "--" value when the agreement goes to Participant 2 due to the calculated string never being satisfied.
Fix: Before calculating fields, all the possible form field values are converted to numbers. This includes strings in date formats. When calculating the fields, strings in date formats are ignored.

Fix: The font was removed from the list of possible fonts.
