Error "A drawing error has occurred" | Acrobat, Reader

 The error message "A drawing error has occurred" can occur when opening a PDF file in Adobe Reader or Acrobat. 

Solution

Regenerate the PDF file. If you are using a third-party application or plug-in to generate the PDF file (for example, iText), then make sure that you have the latest version.

Additional information

This error often occurs when there is a problem with the PDF file itself and Reader or Acrobat is unable to render the PDF properly. (The corresponding error message in German is "Es ist ein Grafikfehler aufgetreten.")

You can also open or check the PDF with other applications (Photoshop, Acrobat, Preflight, CosViewer, and so on) to see if you get any error messages.
