PGi EMEA adaptor deprecated

Objective

PGi wants to move all its PGi_EMEA accounts to PGi_NA and decides to deprecate PGi-EMEA adaptor.

Impact

No Conference numbers are provided while setting up audio profile against PGi-EMEA adaptor.
If you use an audio profile with PGi-EMEA adaptor, the conference won't start.

On-Premise Solution

The "PGI-EMEA" adaptor has been deprecated and no longer functions. If you have deployed your own Adobe Connect infrastructure (On-Premise installation) and are using the PGI-EMEA audio adaptor, take the following actions:

Plan for the upgrade

You may already be impacted by the lack of phone number display in meetings or other issues related to use of the deprecated PGI-EMEA audio adaptor.

  1. Re-create your audio profiles after the upgrade. In Connect 9.x, you can switch to the new profile when you use your meeting room for the first time. To re-create your profile, re-enter the same information you currently have saved (Client ID, Moderator Code, and PGi web password). If you do not have this information, contact your PGi account representative.

2: Verify you (the administrator) have your PGi server credentials and password. It was emailed to you during your initial deployment. Unfortunately, the credentials cannot be retrieved from your server. If you cannot find your password information, contact your PGI representative.

Perform the upgrade

  1. Rerun the Adobe Connect installation software and install the “PGI-NA” audio adaptor using your credentials.
  2. Restart the telephony services.
  3. Log in to Connect Central as administrator and enable PGI-NA under Administrator / Audio Providers.
  4. Set up a test profile. Choose My profile > My Audio profiles > New, and select PGI – NA as the provider.
  5. Enter Client ID, Moderator Passcode, and Web password, and press Save.

Note: Upgrade/installation is required only if the PGi NA Adaptor is missing. If the PGi NA Adaptor is installed, follow the instructions from step 3.

After the upgrade

  1. Instruct users to create their profiles.
  2. Log in to Connect Central and disable the PGI-EMEA audio adaptor

Hosted solution

If you have your account hosted by Adobe, stop using PGi-EMEA adaptor by disabling your existing profiles. Create a PGi-NA Audio profile.

  1. Choose My profile > My Audio profiles > New, and select PGI – NA as the provider.
  2. Enter Client ID, Moderator Passcode, and Web password, and press Save.
