How to create text effects with the Firefly web app

Edit and stylize a single line of text with a simple text prompt, or select from a list of styles or inspirations.

  1. Go to the Text Effects feature in the Firefly web app.

  2. Enter the text, describe the text effects you want to generate, and select Generate.

    Tip:

To write effective text prompts, stick to simple and direct language and use 2-8 words. For example:

    • Layered colorful socks
    • Wool yarn felt red pink orange yellow
  3. Select the image you like from the generated results. Alternatively, try rewording your prompt to get something closer to what you want, or select Refresh to generate more images.

  4. Use the Firefly Control Panel to create images that combine the original description with the added style.

    • Choose a prompt from the available sample prompts.
    • Change the font or color of the text.
    • Change the background color or make it transparent.
    • Use the Match shape option to define how tightly the design fits the outline of the characters. A loose text effect will allow the effect to be very creative and expand outside the normal character bounds.
  5. Select Generate.

  6. Hover over an image for more options.
