Problem: Acrobat Reader slow printing
For some files, Acrobat Reader prints slowly with PCL6 drivers.
Solution: Add or modify a registry entry
To fix the problem, add or modify the registry entry as suggested in the steps below.
Solutions below involve modifying the Windows registry. Adobe doesn't provide support for problems caused by improperly modifying the registry, which contains critical information about your system's hardware and software. Before modifying the registry, create a backup of the registry. For more information about the registry, see the documentation in Windows or contact Microsoft.
-
-
Enter regedit in the Open field, and then click OK.
-
In the Registry Editor, go to the following location:
- On a 32-bit computer: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FeatureState
- On a 64-bit computer: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FeatureState
If FeatureState is not already present there, create it as a new key.
-
Inside FeatureState, create a new DWORD and rename it as 4033257.
-
Assign the value 0 to the key 4033257.
-
Close the Registry Editor.
The problem is fixed now. Try printing a document using Acrobat Reader to any printer having PCL6 drive and check.
