Error while selecting a folder for export location

Issue

When you export files from Lightroom Classic, you get the following error while selecting a folder for export location:

The specified folder is not writable.

Product version affected

Lightroom Classic 8.3

The issue has been fixed in Lightroom Classic 8.3.1 (May 2019 release).

To update to the latest Lightroom version, see Keep Lightroom up to date.

To resolve this issue, do the following:

In the Export dialog box, select Choose folder later (useful for presets) from the Export To drop-down list.
Click Export.
Choose a folder where you want to export your files and click Select Folder.

Lightroom Classic successfully exports your files to the selected folder.
