Starting with Lightroom Classic 9.3 and Adobe Camera Raw 12.3, you can create ISO adaptive presets that will adjust develop settings based on the ISO values of your raw images.
ISO adaptive presets make it easier than ever to quickly adjust Develop settings like Luminance Noise Reduction, Sharpening, Clarity, etc. for a wide range of ISO values. You do not have to specify settings for every ISO level as you did in prior versions of Lightroom Classic and ACR. Instead, this special preset will adapt your Develop adjustments for ISOs between two defined settings so you won’t have to do it manually.
For example, let’s say you create an ISO adaptive preset with two images that have the following settings:
- ISO 400 Luminance Noise Reduction 0
- ISO 1600 Luminance Noise Reduction 10
When you apply this preset to an image with ISO 800, the Luminance Noise Reduction will be set to 5. This will save you a lot of editing time, especially if you shoot at varying ISO speeds or like to use the Auto ISO function on your camera.
Create an ISO adaptive preset
To create an ISO adaptive preset, you need at least two images to define the high and low ISO points However, you can define settings for as many points in between. Simply select multiple images (already processed) with the varying ISO speeds during the creation process, and the preset will adjust and adapt between your defined values.

Set an ISO adaptive preset as raw default
Once you create an ISO adaptive preset, you can set it as raw default for your images. Alternatively, you can also use one of the sample defaults listed under Defaults in the Presets panel.
The Defaults presets are intended to be used as a baseline for your edits. Applying these presets to an already edited image will reset your other sliders.
