Adobe Connect 11.0.5 Release Notes

This document contains details about Adobe Connect 11.0.5 release, including release dates, technical requirements, upgrades, improvements, and known issues.

Adobe Connect 11.0.5 is a maintenance release and is available as a patch. It fixes various issues and includes a few improvements.

Release dates

Adobe Connect 11.0.5 rolls out in the following phases:

Hosted services:

Upgrades will begin from Nov 01 2020 onwards. See Adobe Connect Downloads and Updates to determine the upgrade date for your account.

On-premise deployments:

Will be available from Nov 13 2020.

Managed services:

Contact your Adobe Connect Managed Services (ACMS) representative, or private cloud provider, to schedule an upgrade.

Adobe Connect application

This update includes an upgraded version of the new 'Windows application', which will be available from 29th October onwards from the Adobe Connect Downloads and Updates page. For release notes of the application, please visit Adobe Connect application for desktop 2020.10.26.64 Release Notes.

Please note that it is not mandatory to upgrade to this version of the application.

Upgrade paths for on-premise deployments

Here are the prerequisites for this release:

  • From Adobe Connect 8.x, upgrade to Adobe Connect 9.x
  • From Adobe Connect 9.x, upgrade to Adobe Connect 11.0, upgrade to Adobe Connect 11.0.5
  • From Adobe Connect 10.x, upgrade to Adobe Connect 11.0, upgrade to Adobe Connect 11.0.5

Fixed an issue where selecting a date from the Seminar Calendar page, either by typing it in or with the date selector, the day/timeline view below it, jumps automatically to the previous day.
Fixed a potential session security vulnerability.
Fixed an issue where Seminar Session started notifications included the variable name instead of the session name.
Fixed an issue where Seminar Calendar was not displayed properly when there is only one seminar license present.
Fixed a potential cross-site scripting vulnerability.
Fixed an issue where the Telephony dialog reappears when UV bridge is connected.
Fixed an issue where Pause and Annotate screen is different for the Presenter and Participants.
Fixed an issue where users were not able to publish camera stream in iPhone browser.
Fixed an issue where on clicking "Switch to Classic View" from new Windows app, the meeting is launched in new app again, and when tried for the third time, it works correctly.
Fixed an issue where audio breaks are observed in HTML Recording player on back-seek and sometimes audio gets mixed with the earlier audio.
Fixed an issue where hosts could move/resize pods when layout lock was active.
Added an improvement to prevent the download of meeting content for public access meetings.
Added an improvement to prevent the download of recording content for public access recordings.
Fixed an issue where the in-meeting Engagement dashboard did not include engagement from HTML participants.
Fixed an issue where recording playback had captions visible but offline MP4 or FLV do not produce any captions.
Added an improvement to display a new icon in the Attendee list for users joining from mobile browsers.
Fixed an issue where certain virtual classrooms stopped working and the session froze.
Fixed an issue where database performance dropped under high usage.
