Open Control panel. Locate the Color Management option.
Photos appearing as black or gray rectangles in the Library module
In the Library module, when viewing images in the grid view, your photos are displaying as black, gray, or blank rectangles.
Solution
Try the following solutions in the order listed below. After performing the steps of each solution, check if your issue has been resolved.
Solution 1: Update Lightroom Classic to the latest version
Update your Lightroom Classic to the latest version. See Keeping Lightroom up-to-date for details.
Solution 2: Associate sRGB IEC61966-2.1 Color profile on your system
The issue can occur in the grid view of the Library module due to a corrupt color profile.

In the Color Management dialog > Devices tab, make sure that the check box option Use my settings for this device is selected.

Click Add.

In the Associate Color Profile dialog that appears, locate the color profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1 in the list and click OK.

In the Color Management dialog, the color profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1 now appears under the section Profiles associated with this device.
Select this color profile and click Set as Default Profile.

Re-launch Lightroom Classic.

Click the Apple icon and select System preferences from the menu.

In the System Preferences window, locate and click the option Displays.

In the window that appears, go to the Color tab. Under the Display profile section, locate and choose the color profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1.

Re-launch Lightroom Classic.
