Server behaviors, databases, and bindings in Dreamweaver

Learn how to use server behaviors and database bindings in Dreamweaver and how to enable these features when they are not available by default.

In current versions of Dreamweaver, server behaviors, database bindings, and related functionality are built into the application. You can manage database connections and configure server-side interactions without installing additional extensions.

In earlier versions of Dreamweaver, these features were not included by default. To enable them, install the Deprecated_ServerBehaviorsPanel_Support.zxp extension or install the Server Behavior & Database extension from the Creative Cloud Marketplace. After installation, server behaviors and database bindings become available, and extensions that depend on them function as expected.

Note

MXP type extensions are not supported in Extension Manager. The MXP format has been replaced with the ZXP extension format.

You can convert an MXP extension to a ZXP extension by using the Convert MXP Extension To ZXP tool, located in the Tools menu in Extension Manager for CS6.
