Reshape and distort images with Transform Warp

Select Window > Layers and then select the layer or area you want to warp in the Layers panel.

Select Edit > Transform > Warp.

Select the gear icon in the Options bar to see additional visual Guide options:

• Set the warp guide display to Auto Show Guides, Always Show Guides (default), or Never Show Guides.
• Change the Color and Opacity of the visual guides.
• Use the Density option to set how many lines appear between each Split Warp line. The default value is 2.

Select a style from the Warp dropdown menu in the Options bar to apply a preset.

Create a custom warp mesh by choosing a grid size from the Grid dropdown in the Options bar:

• Select a grid size - Default, 3x3, 4x4, or 5x5.
• Select Custom and enter the number of columns and rows in the Custom Grid Size dialog box.

Add grid lines by splitting the warp:

• In the Options bar, select a Split icon to add predefined splits: Split Warp Horizontally, Split Warp Vertically, or Split Warp Crosswise.
• Select the mesh to add a grid line.

Refine the warp.

When finished, press Enter (Windows) or Return (macOS).

Manipulate the mesh:

• Drag control points, a segment of the bounding box or mesh, or an area within the mesh to reshape.
• Use control point handles to adjust curves, like those in vector graphics.
• Select a grid line to activate control points or select an anchor point (where grid lines intersect) to edit its surrounding points.
• Drag points to warp the image.

Select or deselect points:

• Select multiple points by Shift-clicking anchor points or dragging over them while holding Shift. A rectangle appears around selected points.
• Deselect points by Shift-clicking active anchor points or Shift-dragging over the active points.

Delete grid lines or points:

• Press the Delete key to remove a grid line when its control points are visible.
• Press the Delete key to remove both horizontal and vertical lines through an anchor point after selecting the anchor.

Adjust warp setting:

• Change the orientation of a warp style using the Change Warp Orientation icon in the Options bar.
• Change the reference point by clicking a square in the Reference Point Locator icon in the Options bar.
• Enter numeric warp values in the Bend, H, and V boxes in the Options bar. (Not available if you choose None or Custom from the Warp dropdown.)

With the Transform Warp active, select the gear icon in the Options bar to access visual guide options.

Select when to show visual guides: Auto Show Guides, Always Show Guides, or Never Show Guides.

Adjust the Color and Opacity of the visual guides as needed.

Set the Density option to control how many lines appear between each Split Warp line (default is 2).

To toggle the visibility of the warp mesh and control points while working, select View > Extras.

Select a grid line to activate control points for editing that section of the warp.

Select an anchor point (at grid line intersections) to edit the control points surrounding that anchor.

To delete a selected grid line with visible control points, press Delete.

To delete both horizontal and vertical grid lines passing through an anchor point, select the anchor point and press Delete.
