Access and permissions
Review the following edit and access permissions when uploading custom fonts to your designs in Adobe Express:
- This functionality isn't available on the Free plan.
- Uploading custom fonts is enabled by default if you have a paid Enterprise account. If you don't see the Upload button, your admin may have disabled this functionality. You can request access to a custom font from your Enterprise account admin, who will then share the custom font with you through the Admin Console. Read more on how to contact your Adobe administrator.
Supported font files
Adobe Express supports .otf and .ttf font files that are under 512 Mb. Read more on how to upload your fonts to Creative Cloud.
Your use of the Adobe Fonts Service and upload of custom fonts is governed by Adobe’s General Terms of Use. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the proper rights and licenses to use and upload your font to the Adobe Express Services. If it is determined that you do not have the proper rights and licenses to use a font you upload, Adobe may remove the font and replace it with another font or may deactivate your account. Please note that if we replace any font you upload with another font, the design and look of your Adobe Express content may alter.
Frequently asked questions
If your membership expires, the custom fonts you've uploaded will remain as part of your brand. You'll be able to open existing files that use a custom font, however, the text will be in a read-only state. You can manually change the font to a free one to edit your text.
Deleting a brand does not delete the uploaded font associated with that brand. If you want to delete a specific font, you can do that by clicking the trash icon next to the font name in your brand manager.
If you accept a shared brand that includes a custom font, you must upload your licensed copy of that font to use the brand.
