Flash Player doesn't display PPT, PPTX files in Share pod | Connect 8.x

Issue

Flash Player 10.3.181.22 and 10.3.181.23 don't display PPT or PPTX files in the Share pod in Adobe Connect 8.x. The Share pod displays the Loading screen indefinitely.  This issue is fixed in Flash Player 10.3.181.26.

Solution

Do one of the following, either install Flash Player 10.3.181.26 or higher (recommended) or install the Adobe Connect 8.1.1 Add-in. 

Installing Flash Player 10.3.181.26 or higher:

  1. Download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/.

Installing the Adobe Connect Add-in:

  1. Download the Adobe Connect 8 Add-in for your operating system:
  2. Close all Adobe Connect meeting rooms and recordings.
  3. Unzip the files that you downloaded. 
  4. Run the installer that you unzipped. Click Finish when the installation is complete.

The next time you join an Adobe Connect Meeting room, it uses the Adobe Connect Add-in. Then, you can see PPT and PPTX content in meetings and when playing back recordings.
