Learn how to crop, expand, rotate, and change perspective of an image.
Select the Aspect Ratio using the Preset drop-down menu. Select the Rotate Aspect Ratio or Constrain Aspect Ratio to lock in the desired dimension.
Drag the crop handles on the image or use the Angle slider to crop your image. You can select the Straighten tool to automatically straighten the angles of the image.
Select Done to save your image.
Trim images to a crop
Use Trim to reduce your image to exactly the area you've cropped, making everything outside the crop transparent rather than leaving it as hidden pixels. This gives you a clean cutout you can layer over other images, export with transparency, or use in composites.
Trim shares the Crop & Expand panel with Generative Expand. You can combine the two by trimming the result to your desired framing and then expanding the canvas to generate new content with Adobe Firefly.
To keep the transparent areas produced by Trim, save or export your image in a format that supports transparency, such as PNG or PSD/TIFF.

Drag the crop handles on the image to frame the area you want to keep.
Expand the Trim panel, and then select Trim. The areas outside the crop become transparent, leaving only the cropped region.
Note
Trim is available only when the crop sits within the image bounds. If the crop is set to an Angle or expanded beyond the photo's edge, Trim is disabled.
Select Done to save your edit.

Rotate & Flip images
- Select to rotate your image counter clockwise.
- Select to rotate your image clockwise.
- Select to horizontally flip your image.
- Select to vertically flip your image.
Fix the aspect ratio of images captured using anamorphic lenses. Use the desqueeze slider or preset options to set the desqueeze value.
Correct perspective
