Use the share option to send photos over email or share photos to web. Save your edited photos and export originals in full resolution. You can save and share your photos with a custom text watermark.

Save photos after editing them

When you are done with your edits on a photo, you can save a copy of the modified photo (.JPG format) to your device. Do one of the following:

Multiple photos

  1. In the Grid view, long-press on any photo to select it and bring up the multi-selection view. Select all the photos that you want to save to your mobile device.
  2. Tap () icon and then choose Save To Device from the options menu.
  3. In the Save To Device dialog, tap to choose one of the following options:
    • Highest Available Quality Exports the selected photos in highest available quality.
    • Limit to 2048 px Limits the length of the exported photos to 2048 pixels. The breadth is scaled accordingly to maintain the original aspect ratio.
  4. Tap OK.

Single photo

  1. In the Loupe view (viewing a single photo), tap () icon, and then tap Save To Device.
  2. In the Save To Device dialog, tap to choose one of the following options:
    • Highest Available Quality Exports the selected photos in highest available quality.
    • Limit to 2048 px Limits the length of the exported photos to 2048 pixels. The breadth is scaled accordingly to maintain the original aspect ratio.
  3. Tap OK.

If Camera Roll photos are set for automatic import in albums, the saved images are automatically added to the album and synced with Lightroom on desktop.

Lightroom allows you to retry saving your photos if the export process fails. Do the following if the Export dialog displays these error messages:

  • No Internet connection: Ensure that your device is connected to the Internet. Switch back to Lightroom for mobile (Android) and tap Retry.
  • Not enough storage to perform export: Free up some storage space in your device Gallery. Switch back to Lightroom for mobile (Android) and tap Retry.
  • Lightroom does not have permissions to save photos in the Gallery: Provide permissions to Lightroom for mobile (Android) in your device settings. Switch back to Lightroom for mobile (Android) and tap Retry.

Add a text watermark while sharing or saving your photos

You can add a customizable text watermark while sharing your photos and while saving photos to your device.

  • You can't add a watermark when you export original photo.
  • Watermark doesn't sync with Lightroom across devices and Lightroom Classic.

  1. In the Albums view, tap the () icon at the upper-left corner of the screen to open the app settings menu. In the settings menu, tap Preferences > Sharing Options.

  2. Turn on the Share With Watermark option.

  3. Tap the text field to modify the watermark text as required. By default, the watermark text displays a copyright symbol followed by your Adobe account name.

    Tap Customize. On the Customize Watermark screen, modify any of the following settings:

    To position the watermark, tap any of the nine placement circles displayed around and at the center of the sample image.

    • T: Tap to select a font.
    • B: Tap to make the text bold.
    • I: Tap to italicize the text.
    • To rotate the text clockwise by 90 degrees, tap the rotate icon.
    • To choose a text color (black or white), tap the desired color swatch.
    • Size: Move the slider control to proportionally scale the watermark text larger or smaller.
    • Offset: Move the slider to position the watermark text away from the selected placement circle.
    • Opacity: Move the slider control to adjust the level of transparency of the watermark text.

    While customizing the watermark, use the visualization as a guide. When you save or share a photo, the watermark adapts to the photo's dimensions. Therefore, the watermark text size may change depending on the length and width of the photo.

  5. After customizing your watermark text, tap the (<) back icon at the upper-left corner to return to the Sharing Options screen.

    The text watermark will now be added when you share photos or save photos to your mobile device.

Share albums and photos to web

Share albums to web

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for mobile (Android) allows you to make your albums public so that others can see your photos on the web.

To share an Album, do the following:  

  1. While in the Albums view, tap () icon on any album that you want to share to bring up the options menu.

    While in the Grid view (viewing photos in an Album), tap () icon to bring up the options menu.

  2. From the options menu, tap Share Album.

  3. In the next menu that appears, turn on Enable Sharing.

    If your album is currently private, Sharing Options, View On Web, Display, and Share Link are disabled. Once you've made the album public, the following options appear:

    • Sharing Options: Tap to specify the following options:

    Show Metadata: Turn on to allow others to view metadata of the shared album photos. Turn off to hide metadata.

    Show Location Info: Turn on to allow others to view location info of the shared album photos. Turn off to hide location info.

    Allow Downloads: Turn on to allow others to download the shared album photos. Turn off to disable downloads.

    • Display: Tap to specify the following display options:

    Show Title: Turn on to make the album title visible on the top of the album shared on web.

    Author: Type the author name to make it visible on the shared album on web.

    Appearance: Select Photo Grid, Column, or One-up to choose the layout of photos in a shared album over web. By default, Photo Grid is selected.

    Theme: Select Dark Theme or Light Theme to choose the background theme of photos displayed in a shared album over web. By default, Dark Theme is selected.

    Filter: Select this option to display photos filtered by star rating and flag status in the shared album over web. By default, shows all photos except for rejects.

    • View On The Web: View the album in a web browser window.
    • Share Link: Share a link to the album using mail, messaging, and other apps on the device. Simply follow the onscreen instructions to do so.

    To unshare an album that is currently public, turn off the Enable Sharing option.

    In the Albums view, the text Shared appears on the album indicating that it is now public and can be viewed on the web link.

Share photos to web (ad hoc share)

Lightroom for mobile (Android) gives you the ability to make a selection of photos public without the need of creating an exclusive album for sharing.

To ad hoc share and let others see your photos on the web, do the following:

  1. Long press any photo in the grid to enter multi-select mode.

  2. Select all the photos that you want to share on the web.

  3. Tap () icon from the top right corner of the screen.

  4. Tap Share to Web option from the context menu.

  5. In the Share to Web panel that appears next, edit the Title field and turn on Enable Sharing. Select your share preferences based on Sharing Options, Display, View on the Web, and Share Link options.

  6. Tap the () icon next to the name of your ad hoc share and select an option from the context menu:

    Move to Albums  Choose this option to move the selected ad hoc share to Albums.

    Share to Web  Choose this option to go back to the Share to Web context menu.

    Rename  Choose this option to open Rename Album dialog.

    Delete  Choose this option to delete the selected ad hoc share. Only the selected ad hoc share gets deleted and not the photos contained in the shared ad hoc album.

Message or mail photos

  1. If you're in Loupe view (viewing an individual photo), tap the Share icon () at the top of the screen.

    If you're in Grid view (viewing all photos in an album), follow these steps:

    1. Long-press on a photo to select it. Select multiple photos, if required.
    2. Once you've selected the photos, tap the Share icon () at the top of the screen.
  2. The Share With menu that now appears displays a list of apps installed on your mobile device that you can use to share your photos.  

  3. Choose an app to share with and follow the onscreen instructions.

Export original photos

  1. Open a photo in the Loupe view (viewing a single photo) and tap () icon at the upper-right corner of the screen.

  2. From the options menu that appears, choose Export Original.

    The Export Original option is disabled for those synced originals that were added from Lightroom Classic on your desktop.

  3. The Export Original dialog appears, displaying the progress as your original photo is being prepared for export.

    (Optional) To cancel the export in progress, you can tap the Cancel option in the Export Original dialog.

  4. After the original has been successfully exported to your mobile device, the Export Original dialog displays the success message. Tap OK.
