Learn how to use the Adobe Stock add-in to explore and license stock assets from within PowerPoint.

The Adobe Stock add-in lets you explore, preview, license, and add millions of high-quality curated and royalty-free images and illustrations to your presentations. You can use the add-in to find unique images and illustrations across a wide range of topics such as lifestyle, travel, backgrounds, business, fitness, nature, food, tech, and industry. All of these stock assets are available from right within PowerPoint to help you create your best creative slides and turbocharge your presentations.

Installation

You can find and download the Adobe Stock add-in for PowerPoint from the Office Store. To know more about the installation procedure of the add-in, follow the steps provided in this Microsoft support article.

Get started

After the add-in installation is complete, you can access Stock assets from within the Add-in panel in PowerPoint. Follow these steps:

  1. In PowerPoint, in the Insert menu and from the Add-ins group, click My Add-ins.

  2. In the Office Add-ins dialog, under My Add-ins, click Adobe Stock. PowerPoint displays the Adobe Stock add-in interface within the Add-in panel.

  3. To find the right image or illustration for your presentation, you can choose from the variety of topics provided. You can also easily search by typing in the Search bar of the Stock panel.

    The Stock PowerPoint add-in lets you search for similar images by uploading an image. Click the camera icon  beside the Search bar, upload a sample image, and search. The results display assets similar to that that of your sample image.

  4. To further shortlist your Search results, specify the type of asset that you're looking for: image, illustration, or both. To do this, click the drop-down menu beside the Search bar and select your preferred type of asset: All, Photos, or Illustrations.

  5. Select your desired asset.

    For each selected asset, Adobe Stock provides similar assets in See Similar. You can view those assets in the panel below your selected asset. You can also click See more to view more similar Stock assets.

Preview an asset

Once you've selected an asset, you can preview it in your presentation.

  1. Choose the desired asset. The asset specifications such as dimensions and file type are provided.

  2. Select Preview in PowerPoint.

  3. PowerPoint adds the selected asset to the current slide in an appropriate position. You can also reposition the asset as per your requirements.

    All assets for previews carry the Adobe Stock watermark. The watermark is removed when you license the asset.

  4. You can preview as many assets as you want. All the previewed assets can be viewed from the Preview History folder.

    You can access the Preview History folder by clicking the Sign In or account tab in the upper-right corner of the panel. Select Preview History to view the list of previously previewed assets. Click the displayed ID number of your desired image to go back to the image details and license your image. The Preview History view refreshes each time you open PowerPoint.

License an asset

After you've chosen your asset, you can license it. Follow these steps:

  1. Below the selected asset, click License and add to PowerPoint.

  2. Sign in to your personal or enterprise Adobe ID account, if you aren't already signed in.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to make a successful payment, if you aren't subscribed.

  4. Once you're subscribed, the selected asset gets added to your current slide with a high resolution, non-watermarked display.

    You can also license previously previewed assets by acessing the Preview History folder.  Click the Sign In or account tab at the upper right of the panel. Select Preview History and click the displayed ID number of your desired image to go back to the image detail and license your image.
