Due to the changing needs of video professionals and content creators, we have discontinued Prelude. We have taken learnings from Prelude and shifted our development focus towards streamlining pre-production workflows in Premiere.
Prelude was designed as a pre-production tool for organizing camera media and creating quick sequence string-outs. Adobe Premiere now has a new Prelude Workspace, which exposes and arranges the necessary panels that were available in Prelude.
In addition to the new Prelude workspace in Premiere, we have added the ability to stitch clips together using Adobe Media Encoder. You can do this by selecting two or more clips in the Media Browser in Adobe Media Encoder and right-clicking to stitch together.
Technical support is no longer available for Prelude.
Because the technical support period has ended, Prelude functionality may degrade or stop working entirely. Users who rely on Prelude for existing projects should consider staying with current hardware and operating system configurations. We recommend transitioning to Premiere for pre-production ingest and logging workflows.
