Presenter mobile app discontinued

Adobe Presenter will be End of Life from June 1, 2022

Thank you for being part of the exciting journey of Adobe Presenter.

As Adobe continues to refocus on developing new products and solutions, we have decided to End of Life (EOL) Adobe Presenter on June 1, 2022.

For more information, see Adobe Presenter EOL FAQ.

The Presenter Mobile app is now discontinued and is no longer available for download in Google Play store.

Impact

This change primarily impacts learners who use the Presenter mobile app to view Presenter SWF content on tablets or phones.

Because the HTML5 capabilities of browsers have increased so dramatically, and because Adobe Presenter now publishes both HTML and SWF outputs, learners can view the HTML5 content within the browser itself instead of opening the Presenter Mobile app.

Here are some details.

Scenario

Impact

If the learner already has the Presenter Mobile app installed on his device

There is no impact; the learner is redirected as usual to launch the content from within the app.

If the learner does not have the Presenter Mobile app installed on his device

The learner is redirected to an app store URL. However, because the app is now discontinued, the learner sees an error message stating that the app cannot be found.

Workaround

To work around this issue, content creators can consider taking some of the following actions:

  • Let learners know that the content published is viewable only on a desktop.
  • If you are using versions before Adobe Presenter 10, migrate to Adobe Presenter 10 to take advantage of the HTML5 output, which works on tablet and desktop browsers.
  • Republish the project to produce HTML5 output or both SWF/HTML5 using Adobe Presenter 10.

If you are working with SWF output content, you can take one of the following actions based on your circumstances:
