Adobe Stock and accessibility
Adobe Stock values all individuals and the value that they bring to both Adobe and society. Adobe Stock is committed to digital equality. It's focused on building and improving an online marketplace for everyone. Using inclusive design principles and the latest assistive technology framework, Adobe Stock strives to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 at Level AA.
Adobe Stock web pages are designed to use assistive technologies that use screen readers, screen magnifiers, and other similar tools. Adobe Stock regularly conducts internal and external scans of the digital experience. The results of these scans can be found online on the accessibility conformance reports for Adobe solutions page.
Accessibility features
- Screen readers: Screen reader users can navigate the digital experience via landmark regions. For example, navigating to the image search can be achieved via keyboard commands referenced here.
- Screen magnification: The site experience supports zoom magnification up to 400%.Use the zoom-in functionality on your web browser, which is normally supported via the Command (macOS) or Control (Windows) and + keys.

Alternative Text Metadata
The IPTC has added new metadata fields for accessibility, Alt Text (Accessibility) and Extended Description (Accessibility). Adobe Stock will not overwrite this metadata in the contributor upload process. Contributors are encouraged to utilize these fields to provide textual descriptions of their images for the benefit of users who cannot see the images.
These metadata can be added in the following Adobe applications:
- Adobe Bridge
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe InDesign
Alt Text
A brief text description to convey equivalent information for an image to assistive technology such as a screen reader.
Extended description
A detailed description of image content, expanding on the Alt Text property.
