Launch Adobe Reader, and then open the PDF you want to export to Word or Excel.
While the free Adobe Reader lets you view PDFs, you need a subscription to Adobe PDF Services to create PDF or convert PDF to Word or Excel. With an active subscription, you can use the Create PDF or Export PDF features from within the right-hand tools pane in Reader.
Convert a PDF to Word or Excel
You can convert PDFs to Microsoft Word or Excel by using Adobe ExportPDF, a web-based service on Acrobat.com. For more information about the Adobe Acrobat Export PDF service, go to Adobe Acrobat Export PDF page.

Choose View > Tools. The Tools pane is displayed on the right side of the application window. In the Export PDF panel, the currently open document is selected for conversion. Click Select PDF File to select another PDF document.
Note:If you're not signed in, click Sign In in the upper-right corner of the Tools pane, and then sign in with you Adobe ID and password. After you signed in, your name is displayed in the upper-right corner of the pane.

From the Convert To menu choose Microsoft Word, Rich Text Format, or Microsoft Excel.

If the document contains scanned text in another language, click Change, select the language in the OCR Settings dialog box, then click OK.

Click Convert. The file is uploaded and converted to the selected format.

When the Completed message appears in the Tools pane, click Download Converted File.

In the Save As dialog box, browse to the location where you want to save the file, enter the file name, and click Save.
Check your subscription status
To check your Adobe PDF Service subscription status:
- Sign in to Adobe PDF Services at https://cloud.acrobat.com/ with your Adobe ID and password. Click Account > My Plans in the upper-right area of the Adobe PDF Services page.
