Learn how to easily boost image quality, clarity, and sharpness with Generative upscale.

Follow along with any project to learn how to retouch images.

On the Photoshop on the web homepage, select Upload file and open a low-resolution image, or one that lacks detail. 

Select Generative > Generative upscale  .

Select the Model you want to use for enhancing the image quality:

  • Firefly Upscaler: Keep the original photo's identity while sharpening and restoring details.
  • Topaz Gigapixel: Preserve the original photo's identity while sharpening and restoring details.
  • Topaz Bloom: Add new, creative detail to make images more visually striking with richer texture, ideal for generated images.
The Generative panel shows the highlighted Generative upscale tool, which is used to boost image quality, clarity, and sharpness.
Use Generative upscale to boost the image quality.

Set the Scale to 2x or 4x based on the rescale requirement.

Note

The maximum image output is 4096 px, and the maximum width-to-height ratio is 1:4.

Select Upscale   .
