Frequently Asked Questions

There are two primary ways to access Adobe Stock images:

A few things could be happening to keep your image from downloading. Try these tips to help resolve download issues.

Adobe Stock assets can be used in any creative project, including print ads, brochures, presentations, posters, book covers, commercials, websites, and annual reports. Learn more about using Stock assets and Adobe Stock licensing terms.

You can buy more Adobe Stock assets if you exceed your monthly limit. If you use less than your limit, your unused downloads carry over to the next month, as long as your subscription is active. Learn more about managing your plan and license limits.

Yes, you can become an Adobe Stock contributor and earn money for your content.

If you’re 18 years old, have great photos, videos, or vector content and own or control the rights to it, you can become an Adobe Stock contributor. Get started using the Adobe Stock Contributor website and upload your first files.

Subscriptions give you the best deal on the price of our standard assets, which include royalty-free, high-resolution photos, vectors, illustrations, templates, 3D and audio.

Most subscriptions also include HD videos and a 20% discount on purchases of 4K video, extended licenses, editorial and Premium.

Subscriptions are monthly or annual, with annual commitment plans providing higher discounts per asset.

The Adobe stock free trial allows you to download assets included in your plan for free during your trial.

You can cancel risk-free during your trial without being charged. Any assets downloaded during the free trial period are yours to keep, even if you cancel.

After your trial ends, your annual subscription begins and you will automatically be charged the rate listed in your plan.

Subscriptions plans provide access to royalty-free, high-resolution standard images, as well as standard templates, 3D assets, and music tracks.

Most plans also provide access to HD video. Plans with video also provide a 20% discount on purchases of 4K video, extended licenses, and premium.

The US$29.99/mo plans and the US$79.99/mo and US$99.99/mo plans include rollover benefits.

You can rollover unused licenses or subscription credits for future use as long as you have your subscription. Rollover amount varies by plan.

If you cancel your subscription or downgrade your plan to a lower priced plan, you’ll lose any unused licenses or plan credits.

Your subscription allows you to pay on-demand for additional assets at the same discount available in your plan.

If you cancel your subscription, you'll lose access to the Adobe Stock service and forfeit your unused licenses and plan credits.

Assets not available in subscription plans, such as videos and Premium collection, are available individually for download on-demand at the listed prices on the site.

You can also use Credit Packs, which provide discounted savings across multiple assets.

Standard licenses allow you to use the licensed image perpetually, but your print runs can't exceed 500,000 and you can't use the image in any items you're going to sell. For example, you can't print the image on a coffee mug to sell. The print run limit doesn't apply when the image is only for display on websites, social media, or mobile applications.

If you need large print runs or you're using the asset in resale, you need to purchase an extended license.

Credit packs can be used to license any asset.

They last for one year (6 months only in Japan, if you have purchased as an individual). You can buy as many as you need, and the larger the credit pack, the less each credit costs. Click here for detailed terms.

If you reside outside of Japan, unused credits in your credit pack automatically expire 12 months from the date of purchase. If you are a resident of Japan, unused credits automatically expire 6 months from the date of purchase.

Subscriptions are best if you have ongoing stock content needs. Most of our plans provide access to our entire collection at a discount. Our plans range from up to 3 to 750 standard assets a month.

Credit packs are designed for those who have fluctuating stock content needs.

You may purchase both credit packs and subscription plans individually or buy both.

Credits from credit packs and credits from subscription plans are not interchangeable so cannot be combined to license assets.

If you purchase a team subscription plan, you may share assets with the members of your team. Check out our Team Plans for details.

No, you don't need any other Adobe product to use Adobe Stock. However, there are a number of benefits to using Adobe Stock with other Adobe Creative Cloud products, such as the ability to preview, edit and license in Adobe Photoshop before completing your purchase.

Adobe Stock’s Unlimited Plan gives you unlimited downloads of royalty-free standard assets—including images, music, templates, vectors, and illustrations—plus our entire collection of 4K and HD videos. Your subscription also includes the Adobe Firefly Standard Plan, with 2,000 generative AI credits to create video, audio, and images across Creative Cloud apps and Adobe Stock. Premium assets are not included.

Adobe Stock Unlimited does not use credits. Instead, you can download as many images, videos, music, templates, vectors, and illustrations as needed for your creative projects during your subscription period.

While Adobe Stock Unlimited gives you the flexibility to download as many standard assets as you need, it’s designed for immediate creative use—not mass downloading for future use or long-term storage.

We do not cap downloads but may take action if we detect activity that appears fraudulent or inconsistent with normal creative workflows—such as bulk downloading or automation.

Please see our Unlimited Plan Usage Policy for more details.

Your Unlimited subscription gives you access to our full collection of standard assets, including:

  • Images, Vectors, illustrations
  • 4K and HD videos
  • Music tracks
  • Video and Design templates
  • 3D

Also included: Bonus Adobe Firefly generative credits

Premium assets are excluded and must be licensed separately.

At this time, Adobe Stock Unlimited does not include a free trial.

If you cancel your Unlimited plan, you may not use any downloaded assets for the first time after your plan ends. Assets already used in existing projects may continue to be used in those projects after the plan ends.

See the Terms for full details.

If you're a creative professional or freelancer that needs access to a wide range of standard stock content across formats, the Unlimited plan offers the best value.

It includes unlimited downloads of standard assets—images, video, music, templates, and more—plus bonus Adobe Firefly generative credits for use in your Creative Cloud apps.

If you only need a few assets each month, a metered subscription plan may be a better fit. These plans come with a set number of credits per month, which can be used to license standard stock assets, giving you flexibility to use them later.
