You can use this resource when you’re using the Lightroom on Web interface or looking up the location and purpose of specific workspace tools.

Home screen view

The home screen view provides access to your photo library organization.

The home screen is shown with options to switch apps, import images, create and share albums, explore community and learning topics.

  • App Switcher: Switch between Adobe web apps, including Firefly, Express, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Acrobat. Pin the web app you want to access quickly and open it in a new tab.
  • Add Photos: Drag and drop images or select one from your local device to import images. You can also Connect to Google Photos to add images to the Library.
  • Home: Add photos, Create an album, view Imports and Edits, Learn through tutorials, and explore the Lightroom Community.
  • Photos: Add images or view all synced photos.
    • Library: Access and manage all images in one place.
      • All Photos: View all synced images.
      • Recently added: Access the most recently imported photos.
      • Deleted: Review photos removed from the Library for up to 30 days before permanent deletion. You can Restore them at any time during this period.
    • Albums: Organize your photos.
      • Create Album: Create a new album to group selected photos.
      • Create Folder: Create a folder to group multiple albums.
    • Utilities: Remove, share, and distribute your photos using additional tools.
      • Clean Up: Remove unwanted photos by identifying Clutter and Duplicates.
      • Gallery: Create a shareable gallery link for selected photos.
      • Connections: Send Lightroom photos to other services and platforms.
  • Share: Share photos and albums with others through links and connected platforms.
    • Shared with you: View photos shared with you.
    • Shared albums: View shared albums.
    • Shared photos: View photos shared by you.
  • Community: Try and share your edits, explore how other photographers edit their images, and save styles as presets.
  • Learn: Explore new learning topics, tools, tutorials, and videos. Revisit earlier explored tutorials in the Recently Viewed tab.

Photo grid view

Select Photos from the home screen left panel, and then select All Photos to open the grid view. This is a timeline-based view of all photos synced in Adobe Lightroom on mobile, desktop, and web, organized by month. Images that are not a part of any album are also displayed here.

  • Search in All Photos: Allows you to search your photos using specific keywords.
  • Filter: Filters your Photos and Videos based on attributes such as FlaggedUnflaggedRejected, and rating.
  • Get browser app: Installs the Lightroom browser app.
  • Download: Downloads the desktop or mobile version of the app on supported devices.
  • Cloud storage: Displays your cloud storage usage details.
  • Support & Feedback: Provides help resources and a link to share feedback with Adobe.
    • Have a moment?: Allows you to answer quick questions to share feedback and improve the Lightroom for Web experience.
    • What’s New: Displays the latest features and updates.
    • Learn Videos: Provides access to video tutorials on tools and workflows.
    • Help & Support: Gives access to help articles, guides, and support resources.
    • Keyboard Shortcuts (?): Displays a list of keyboard shortcuts.
    • Send Adobe Feedback: Allows you to share suggestions or feedback with Adobe.
  • Notification menu: Displays alerts and activity related to your account.
  • Account: Manages your Lightroom profile settings.
    • Change Language: Changes the interface language.
    • Account Info: Displays your account information, such as your name and email ID, Your Subscription StatusCLOUD STORAGE status, and an option to Delete Lightroom Library.
    • Preferences: Allows you to set the Color theme and manage Content credentials (Early access).
    • Edit Profile Photo: Updates your account profile image.
    • Technology Previews: Explore features that are still in development and may improve over time.
    • Downloads: Download the desktop or mobile app on supported devices.
    • Legal Notices: Displays Terms of UsePrivacy PolicyCookie preferences, data sharing options, copyright information, trademark details, and third-party software notices.
    • About Lightroom: Displays the names of engineers and developers who created the app.
    • Sign Out: Logs you out of your Lightroom account.
The All Photos workspace displays options to sort images, adjust image size and grid, and collapse the sidebar.
Collapse the sidebar, adjust the grid, sort, and resize thumbnails to manage your photo view.

  • Collapse sidebar: Hides the left panel to provide a larger workspace for viewing and editing your photo.
  • Grid: Displays options to set how your photos appear.
    • Adaptive grid: Displays photos in a dynamic layout that adapts to the screen.
    • Square grid: Displays photos in a square format for a consistent view.
  • Sort by: Organizes photos by Capture date or arranges them in Reverse order.
  • Thumbnails: Adjusts the thumbnail size.
    • Larger thumbnails: Increases thumbnail size to view photos in detail.
    • Smaller thumbnails: Reduces thumbnail size to display more images on the screen at once

Detail view

Select a photo to edit in detail view. This view displays one photo at a time and allows you to edit, apply presets, perform masking and healing, and crop images. 

Detail view is the window where you perform most of your actions in Lightroom on the web.

The detail view is shown with options to compare, undo or redo changes, share, manage storage, delete photo, and more.

  • Save: Save the image.
  • Show Original: Toggle between edited and original images.
  • Share: Share the photos with others.
  • Cloud storage: Check how much space is left in your cloud storage.
  • Close: Close the photo and return to the album.
  • Tools: Enhance your photo.
  • VersionsView previous versions.
  • Reset: Select More option icon to reset your edited image.
    • Reset to Original: Revert the photo to its original state when it was first imported into Lightroom.
    • Reset to Open: Revert the photo to the state when it was last opened.
Images are displayed with different presets applied to an image in the loupe view where the preset can be viewed by hovering over an image.
Add keyword, view info, or flag and rate the image in detail view.

  • Keywords: Add keywords to your images.
  • Info: View metadata such as camera, dimensions, file size, and more.
  • Flag and Rating: Flag or rate the selected photo.

Shared albums view

Shared albums are available in the left panel. Navigate to the Shared Albums view, which lists all the albums you've shared publicly. You can view which albums or photos you've shared with someone or someone has shared with you.

  • Shared with you: View photos shared with you.
  • Shared albums: View shared albums.
  • Shared photos: View shared photos.

Select the checkbox at the corner of an image to perform different actions.

  • Share: Share the image with different people.
  • Download: Download the selected image.
  • Set as cover: Set the image as the album's thumbnail.
  • Add to: Add the image to a different shared album.
  • Move to: Move the image to a different shared album.
  • Send to: Connect the image to a connection.
  • Keyword: Add keywords to the image.
  • Remove: Remove the image from the album.
  • Delete: Delete the image from Lightroom.
