"Renew your subscription" message when you launch a Creative Cloud application

Issue: "Renew your subscription" window appears when you launch a Creative Cloud application

When you attempt to launch an Adobe Creative Cloud application, you receive a message that says "Renew your subscription" even though your subscription is current. 

Solutions

If the first solution does not work, try the second.

  1. Open the Creative Cloud desktop app. (Click the  icon in your Windows taskbar or the macOS menu bar.)

  2. Depending on your version of the Creative Cloud desktop app, you get one of the following screens. Click the profile icon in the upper-right corner of the app and then click Sign out

  3. Sign back in.

  1. Click "License this Software."

  2. Verify that you have an active Internet connection. For more information on verifying your Internet connection, see Sign-in, activation, or connection errors | CS5 and later.

  3. Verify that your system clock is set to the correct time.

  4. If this process fails, wait a few minutes and click the Try again button.

Additional information

There are several reasons why this window can appear. Examples include: resetting your password, switching from one Creative Cloud subscription to another, or activating your software on more than the allowed number of machines.
