Lightroom not only empowers you to create beautiful images and express your vision, but it helps you become a better photographer with new ways to get inspired and grow your skills, right in the app. You can get hands-on experience learning how to make your photos look their best with a robust collection of interactive tutorials. You can also browse through different categories of inspirational photos by fellow photography members and tap them to open and see how the photo was edited, step-by-step. You can also save the edits as a preset.
Interactive tutorials provide a free and easy way to learn a wide variety of editing techniques while working within the app. You can access tutorials from a range of professional photographers and photo educators, and apply the edits, step-by-step, right within Lightroom mobile.
Tap the Learn icon.
The Learn section displays the set of tutorials to learn various photo editing techniques. Tap one of the following to select a tutorial:
For You
Provides tutorial recommendations based on your search. For You also displays tutorials under Featured, Trending, and Popular Categories sections.
Browse
Browse tutorials categorized by Topic, Tool, and Subject Matter. Use the drop-down to select one of the three categories.
Recently viewed
Find a list of tutorials that you had viewed in the past along with more recommended tutorials.
Starting Lightroom version 7.0, you can find detailed, interactive tutorials on Linear and Radial Gradient in the Learn section. Tap Browse > By Tools to find tutorials on specific tools.
Once you tap a tutorial, a new window appears with details about the tutorial, such as author, total duration, and core features covered in the tutorial. Tap Start Tutorial.
Follow the tutorial with a sample photo that is provided within Lightroom. You can press and hold the screen any time during the tutorial to view the before and after photo. You can also rate your experience with the tutorial after completion.
You can create a preset based on the settings in the tutorial. To create a preset, do the following:
Access the interactive tutorial of your choice.
Once the tutorial is over, tap icon at the upper-right corner and select Create Preset from the menu that appears.
Specify the Preset Name, Preset Group, select the settings that you want to include in the preset and tap .
When editing your photos, you can now view and apply the created preset. For more information, see Work with Presets on your photo.
To copy settings of the tutorial, do the following:
Access the interactive tutorial of your choice.
Once the tutorial is over, tap icon at the upper-right corner and select Copy Settings from the menu that appears.
Select the settings that you want to copy and tap .
You can paste the copied settings to one or more photos. For more information, see Copy and paste edits.
To share a tutorial, do the following:
Open a tutorial of your choice from the Learn section.
Tap at the upper-right corner.
Discover inspirational photos by fellow photography members, browse through different categories of photos, and tap them to see how the photo was edited, step-by-step. You can also save the edits as a preset.
Tap the Discover icon.
The Discover section displays the list of inspirational photos. Tap an inspirational photo of your choice.
Tap Edits to see how the photo was edited, step-by-step.
Tap icon at the upper-right corner to view more information about the photo.
To like a photo, do one of the following:
If you have accidentally liked a photo, tap again to unlike it.
You can save the exact combination of slider positions in the photo as a preset to apply on other photos. To save edits as preset, do the following:
Open a photo of your choice from the Discover section.
Do one of the following:
Specify the Preset Name, Preset Group, and tap . By default, the preset is added to the Saved Presets group in the Library view of the Presets panel.
When editing your photos, you can now access and apply the saved preset. For more information, see Work with Presets on your photo.
Open a photo of your choice from the Discover section.
Do one of the following:
To share a photo, do the following:
Open a photo of your choice from the Discover section.
Tap icon at the upper-right corner and select Share.
You can share your photos along with their edits to the Discover section to inspire and connect with other Lightroom users. You can also allow your edits to be saved as preset by other users.
To share your edits:
Select a photo whose edit you want to share with other users.
Tap the Share icon in the upper-right corner and select Share Edit.
In the Share Edit dialog box, enter the following details:
Title
Enter the title for your edit.
Description
Enter the description that best describes your edit.
Categories
Select at least one category to help get your post easily discovered by users. You can select up tp three categories.
Permissions
Select Enable Save as Preset to allow other users to save your edits as preset. This option is enabled by default. Select Include location Info to share your location info along with the edits.
Copyright
Displays your profile name. To change your name in copyright, edit your name in your profile.
Tap. A shareable link is displayed that you can copy and share with others.
You can view and edit the details of your shared edits in the Edits tab of your profile.
The likes you receive on your shared edits are private to you and will not be visible to others.
You can choose to follow your favorite photographers in the Lightroom community. The For you tab in the Learn and Discover section displays tutorials and edits based on the posts you like, recent editing activity, and people you choose to follow.

icon.
Tap the For you tab to see recommended tutorials or inspirational edits. You can also scroll down to find Featured, Trending, and Get inspired posts.
Select the desired tutorial or inspirational edit to view it.
If you like a photographer's work, you can follow their work. Select the post you like, tap the author's name, and then tap Follow. In Discover, you can see the edits from the people you follow in the Following tab.
The photographers that you follow can be viewed by other Lightroom users.

Starting from Lightroom for mobile version 5.1, view profiles of authors who create interactive tutorials and Discover posts. From each of the author profiles, you can find a collated list of their tutorials and edits, and also learn more about them.
Tap the or
icon.
Scroll to the desired interactive tutorial or Discover post.
In the thumbnail, tap the author's name.
Tap one of the following tabs:
Tutorials
Find tutorials that the author has created.
Edits
Find edits that the author has created.
About
View details about the author.
Following
Find users whom the author is following.
Followers
Find who all are following the author.
