Adobe Admin Console for Frame.io enterprise users

Overview to the Admin Console

Adobe Admin Console is a central location for managing Adobe entitlements across your organization. Your adoption of the console will improve work management efficiency and position your organization for faster innovation in the future. When tied with Frame.io, you will be able to authenticate your Frame.io Enterprise users using a single Adobe identity, enable SSO configurations, enable easier integration across other Adobe tools and products, and much more.

Note:

To be able to use this integration, you must be on Frame.io V4 and own or be a part of a Frame.io Enterprise account available after October 2024. For existing customers, contact your Account Team for information on transitioning your account. If you’re interested in learning more, review our Enterprise plan and contact our Sales team.

With an Adobe-managed Frame.io account, you can manage all your users' access to Frame.io within the Admin Console rather than adding them directly within Frame.io. This provides a central location to manage users, product licenses, and settings, as well as allows users assigned to additional Adobe product licenses to access their applications from a single Adobe account. Depending on which Enterprise plan you go with, you will have a certain number of user licenses to use within the Admin Console which will correspond to a Frame.io user.

Users within the Admin Console are made up of Admins and Users.

Admins

Enterprise admins perform administrative tasks on the Admin Console. Admins enable fine-grained management of Adobe product access, and usage, and other administrative tasks. A user can be assigned admin privileges only via the Admin Console, providing varying levels of permissions based on the role assigned. Learn more about administrative roles.

Identity types on Admin Console

Federated ID

Enterprise ID

Adobe ID

Identity types allow the organization of different levels of control over the users' accounts and data. Your choice of identity model has a considerable impact on how your organization stores and shares assets. While Federated ID and Enterprise ID models are created and managed by the organization, Adobe IDs are created and managed by the individual.

You should decide which identity model best suits your organization prior to adding users to your Adobe Admin Console. Learn more about identity types.

Add users via bulk or automated sync

There are multiple options to add and manage multiple user accounts simultaneously. These methods allow an admin to assign the Frame.io license directly to multiple users directly or via assignment to a user group. Options include:

Frame.io user permissions

Once you've added your users to the Admin Console, you will see them populated within Frame.io to manage further user permissions. Ensure users are properly set up with permissions in Workspaces and Projects as you add them to your account so you can have further control over what they have access to within Frame.io and restrict them where you may need to.

Frame.io V4 users are made up of Account Owner, Content admins, and Members. Further permissions for members include Full Access, Edit & Share, Edit, Comment Only and View Only.
