Learn about perspective drawing and the various perspective drawing options in Adobe Illustrator.
Perspective drawing helps you accurately depict depth and spatial relationships in your artwork. In Illustrator, you can use the perspective grid to draw or place objects in perspective. You can choose a perspective type for the grid, adjust the grid, and define grid presets.
Types of perspective
- One-point perspective: Depicts objects viewed from the front or behind. You can draw objects in parallel to give the illusion of objects receding into the distance.
- Two-point perspective: Depicts objects or designs viewed from a corner or an angle, adding visual impact and complexity to the artwork.
- Three-point perspective: Conveys the scale, proportions, and intricate details of architectural designs with precision, depth, and space.
