On the Video editor page, select the Text icon to enable the Text panel.
Learn how to add text layers to your video timeline when working with Firefly video editor.
Adding text to the timeline involves creating and positioning elements, such as titles, captions, or labels. Once you've entered the text, it appears as a layer on the timeline. You can move, trim, or stretch this layer just like any other asset, giving you control over how and when the text appears in your video.
Create a new project, and if you have any media files, add them to the timeline.
In the Text panel, select the Add text button to add a text box in the preview panel.
You can hover over the border of the text box until the four-way arrow cursor appears. You can use it to drag and reposition the text box, or use the resize handles if you want to adjust its size.
Use the Properties panel to change text properties like font, size, color, and alignment.
You can edit, reposition, trim, and perform other edits in the text layer, just like any other clip.
You can also navigate to Menu > Clip > Add text to add a text layer in the timeline.
