Learn more about inserting stops in an action in Adobe Photoshop to pause playback for tasks that cannot be recorded.
Use stops in an action to pause playback for tasks that cannot be recorded, such as painting. After you finish the task, select Play in the Actions panel to resume the action.
Select Insert Stop from the Actions panel menu.
Type the message you want to appear.
Select OK.
Note
You can insert a stop either while recording an action or after the action has been recorded.
Tip
You can display a short message at the stop as a reminder. You can include a Continue button in the message box, if no task is required.
