Generate images from text

Learn how to use the Adobe Express tools to generate images and add them to your PDF documents.

On the Adobe Acrobat homepage, select Create > Generate an image.

In the Prompt section, enter a detailed description of the image you want to create.

Select Generate.

Customize the look and layout of your image using the tools in the left panel:

  • Select Image size to choose a format like Square, Portrait, Landscape, or Widescreen.
  • Select Content type to pick a category such as Photograph, Digital Art, or Illustration.
  • Use the Styles options to apply an artistic style like Realistic, Abstract, or Cartoon.

Write a descriptive and detailed prompt and be specific about elements, style, colors, and composition for best results.

Review the four AI-generated image options and select your preferred image.

Select Download.

From the Acrobat homepage, select Upload files and choose the downloaded image to open it in Acrobat. Then, use the tools in the left panel to take further actions, such as adding the image to your PDF Space, converting it to PDF, sharing it, or combining it with other files.
