Stylize PDFs with Adobe Express design tools

Learn how to quickly stylize your PDFs using Adobe Express design tools to enhance layout, colors, and visual appeal.

On the Adobe Acrobat homepage, select Create > Stylize a PDF.

In the dialog box that opens, select the PDF you want to enhance.

Acrobat opens your document in Adobe Express in a new tab.

Use the pre-defined options from the Stylize PDF shortcuts to quickly enhance your PDF.

To apply a coordinated look across your entire document:

  • Select Apply document style and choose from the available styles in the Document panel.
  • Customize it further using the color theme options in the Color panel.

To apply font styles that match your design:

  • Select Get font recommendations and choose from the suggested typefaces that suit your current text style.
  • View similar or featured fonts and select them to apply to your text instantly.

To change the dimensions for different formats or platforms:

  • Select Resize page and enter custom dimensions using width, height, and unit selectors in the Resize pane.
  • Lock or unlock aspect ratio to maintain or freely adjust proportions.
  • Choose from recommended sizes like Flyer, Resume, or Poster.
  • Browse preset sizes for social media, video, photo, document, and web formats.

To insert visual elements:

  • Select Add shapes and icons and choose from the basic shapes or themed icons.
  • Drag and place the element where you want it on the page.
  • Resize or color them to fit your design.

To change the background color:

  • Select Change background color and choose a color from the palette or use your brand’s HEX code.
  • Apply it to all pages or just selected ones.

To insert Adobe Stock images:

  • Select Add Adobe Stock image, search for a keyword, select an image and place it in your document.
  • Resize and move it as needed.

Go to the Recent list on the Acrobat homepage to access your updated PDF.
From there, you can easily open it to edit further or share whenever needed.
