Learn how to apply a vignette effect to your footage to subtly darken the edges and draw attention to the center in Premiere on iPhone.

Adding a vignette helps enhance focus and gives your footage a polished, cinematic look. You can control how much of the vignette appears and adjust its shape and softness.

Tap the photo you want to edit in the timeline.

From the options at the bottom of the screen, tap Adjust to open the adjustment panel.

In the adjustment panel, select the Vignette tab.

Use the following settings to customize the vignette effect:

  • Vignette: Controls the strength of the effect.
  • Mid Point: Adjusts how far the effect extends toward the center.
  • Roundness: Changes the shape from oval to round.
  • Feather: Softens or hardens the edges of the vignette.
  • Highlight: Balances the brightness around the vignette’s edges.
