Learn how to adjust your video to fit any screen or platform in Premiere mobile.
You can change the aspect ratio of clips directly from the toolbar. This makes it easy to adapt your video for different outputs, such as widescreen, square, or vertical formats.
In the bottom toolbar, scroll through the options from right to left and tap the Aspect ratio icon.
Change the aspect ratio from the top toolbar to quickly adapt your video for different screens and platforms.
Choose the ratio you want, such as 9:16, 16:9, 4:3, 3:4, 1:1, 4:5, 3:2, 2:3, or 5:4.
The clip updates instantly to match the selected aspect ratio. For clips that don't match the project's aspect ratio, the background is automatically filled with solid black.

- 1:1 (Square) is best for Instagram posts.
- 7:9 (Portrait) works well for stories on Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat.
- 7:4 or 9:7 (Landscape) is great for YouTube, Twitter, and other platforms that use widescreen formats.
