Sign documents

Signing is one the main functions of Adobe Sign. The various methods for signing are covered below.

Signing via e-mail link or when logged in

This is the standard process for signing documents sent to you through Adobe Sign.

Via e-mail link

  1. Click the link provided in the "Please sign [document_name]" e-mail.
  2. Click in the fields and enter any requested information.
  3. Click in the signature field. A pop-up window appears.
  4. Enter your name in the Name section at the top of the pop-up window. Review the generated signature or click the Draw icon and draw your signature with your mouse.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Click the Click to Sign button.

When logged in to Adobe Sign

  1. Go to the Manage page.
  2. Double-click an agreement under the Waiting For Me to Sign section.
  3. Click in the fields and enter any requested information.
  4. Click in the signature field. A pop-up window appears.
  5. Enter your name in the Name section at the top of the pop-up window. Review the generated signature or click the Draw icon and draw your signature with your mouse.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. Click the Click to Sign button.

Only I Sign

Use this process when you need to sign a document and then send it someone else. This workflow doesn't allow you to obtain a signature from another individual.

  1. On the Dashboard page, click Only I Sign.
  2. Enter the email address of the individual you want to send the document to.
  3. Drag-and-drop, attach, or choose a document to send.
  4. Check the Preview, position signatures or add form fields option.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Drag-and-drop necessary fields onto the document.
  7. Click Sign, then Send.
  8. Fill in the fields and apply your signature.
  9. Click Click to Sign.

Signing via iOS or Android app

Adobe Sign app for iOS and Android lets you sign agreements, just as the web application does.

  1. Log in to the app with your Adobe Sign credentials.
  2. Touch the Waiting for Me to Sign option on the left side of the screen.
  3. Touch the agreement that you want to sign.
  4. Touch Open and Sign in the upper-right corner.
  5. Touch fields to enter the information requested.
  6. Touch signature fields to sign and draw your signature with your finger or stylus.
  7. Touch the Apply button.
  8. Touch Finish eSigning in the upper-right corner.
